chromium Posted March 26, 2011 Posted March 26, 2011 Hi, I'm preparing a single player mission with a IA pilot AFAC (to obtain a multiplayer one), but I can't archive it to work. The mission is attached, please if someone can explain me why... I tried a lot of solutions but nothing...JTAC test.miz Author of DSMC, mod to enable scenario persistency and save updated miz file Stable version & site: https://dsmcfordcs.wordpress.com/ Openbeta: https://github.com/Chromium18/DSMC The thing is, helicopters are different from planes. An airplane by it's nature wants to fly, and if not interfered with too strongly by unusual events or by a deliberately incompetent pilot, it will fly. A helicopter does not want to fly. It is maintained in the air by a variety of forces in opposition to each other, and if there is any disturbance in this delicate balance the helicopter stops flying; immediately and disastrously.
McVittees Posted March 26, 2011 Posted March 26, 2011 I'm not at my PC to check your mission but make sure you've set an appropriate frequency for the FAC: 30-76 FM or 116 - 151 AM. I was making a mission setting FAC freqencies outside these ranges so I couldn't contact them. WRFirefox Posted March 26, 2011 Posted March 26, 2011 (edited) I will have a look on it - DONE! You have to add some points to Advanced (Waypoint Actions): - Perform Task: "FAC - Assign Group" - Target Group: "New Vehicle Group" - Weapon: ??? if you want - Perform Command: "Set frequency" Then it should work for first:smilewink: Edited March 26, 2011 by WRFirefox

I tried myself (revision attached) but do not work... also... I'm trying to use the FAC task and not the FAC - Assign... (as described in the GUI manual). But even if the FAC Assign will work it will be ok for me :) Please if someone has some ideas...JTAC test _rev2.miz Author of DSMC, mod to enable scenario persistency and save updated miz file Stable version & site: https://dsmcfordcs.wordpress.com/ Openbeta: https://github.com/Chromium18/DSMC The thing is, helicopters are different from planes.
