Does anyone know what is causing this, I noticed it 2 days ago after not playing fc2 for a while, I couldnt figure it out, then I reinstalled the game just now and everything is stock, no mods and yet it still happens.

Pushing down and pulling up makes the pitot tubes and the front of the aircraft rise and fall, which in turn ends up with an ugly see through part of the aircraft when looking out of the HUD.

I patched to 1.2.1 and its still the same, so I really have no idea what the cause is.

I am using TIR and warthog stick if that should matter ???

Please if anyone has any ideas about what causes it from a fresh install, please let me know so that I can fix it, cheers.

FC2 didn't have 6DOF????

At least, i cant move my head sideways, nor can i "roll" the view.

Moving Up/Down also doesn't work, zooming in and looking left right/ up down does though.

Go on lockon files hand have 6DOF mod but than you need to have a tracking device to actually make 6DOF work.

Really? I can in my F-15 ;)

Let me take all this in, the pic above was taken with no TIR enabled, I used the numpad to turn the view, it was just plain FC2 quick mission 25t, when the mission started I pushed forward on my stick and the front of the plane seems to lift up into the hud, when I pull back it goes the other way.

Now if its 6dof, how do I disable it ? because it happens with and without tir enabled.

I also thought FC2 only had 3dof ?

GG, is their a way to fix it ? and does the same also happen in your version of fc2 ?

if their is no straight up fix available, do you or anyone have any ideas on how to fix it ?

It's probably the 'head movement due to g'. Your head is 'pulled up' when you push the nose down. I haven't bothered touching those settings since it doesn't particularly bother me (the more I can see around my plane, the better) and I don't fly the Su-25 anyway - perhaps someone who does can help you with this.

Yea, it has something to do with G, the ingame G setting doesnt have any effect, but I could of sworn that my 25t didnt do this before, I havent played for ages mind you, but I am sure it wasnt like this before or I would of remembered it, well I think I would of.

I will take a look into disabling it when I have some free time to hunt for the file, or fingers crossed someone smarter than me suddenly comes along and posts the answer for me :)

From the number of times you've posted on the forum, I guess you are not new so listen. Go into config/view folder and open server.lua. Now go to the line that says "CockpitLocalPoint[PlaneIndex.iSu_25] = {3.5 , 0.4 , 0.0}" increase the middle value till you stop seeing that you can also reduce or increase the first value if you want. Remember, .1 = 10cm.

Thank you for posting a solution, but it's a solution for some other problem, as it doesnt do anything for the problem I am facing :(

I tried with small steps then big steps and each and every time I flew to test it, it was exactly the same as before.

I am starting to think it maybe my thrustmaster warthog stick doing something, what I dont know, but I will figure soemthing out.

It has nothing to do with your stick. It's 'head movement due to g-forces' effect. I don't recall if it can be disabled in FC2 or not.

It can, its in one of the config.lua's look for defaultheadshaking= true

and turn it to false

I suspect that will solve it or at least improve your situation.

***EDIT***

Go to your install directory

/config/view and open View.lua

Search for the line head_roll_shaking = true

change that to false

(in my config file its line 223, so i guess it should be close to that in yours.)

GG, If thats the cause, then I cant believe since fc2 came out and up until say 2 months ago when I stopped playing it with my x52, then I started playing it again 1 week ago with my new stick.

I just cant believe that I never noticed it in all that time.

Ahwell, I guess I will have to live with it, I also notice the f15 is like it aswell, it now has a brownish box at the bottom of the hud now where it didnt have previously in fc1/lockon.

If I noticed it earlier then my brain must be like a sieve...

If its the same for everyone else then I will get over it.

Cheers.

Already tried that also, sadly its a no go :(

TBH, I am about to nuke this install as my ssd's need to be cleaned out as they are slowing down and since they are in raid mode trim isnt working, so I am about to kill everything and start again, hopefully when I do that a clean install will be ok ?

Try higher FOV mod.

You seem to have half the textures on the nose missing, this rise and fall of the nose is normal, but for some reason you don't have a full texture.

If you lift up fully in the Y with the 6DOF then you perform this tilting of the nose you can see a break in the textures but not as bad as you see.
