Do not ever get 5400rpm HDD, they are so old tech and slow... if you want a HDD with lot of storage space get 7200rpm and for OS/games you should consider getting a Solid State Drive (SSD)

What Kuky said: 5400rpm drives aren't something you want to subject yourself to as far as system/game drives go. They're acceptable as storage drives (I use a WD GreenPower as storage), but don't subject yourself to the painful slowness of using that for games and/or OS.

Note that the 3Gb/s note on it only states the speed of the SATA interface it supports (that unit supports SATA2, which is 3Gb/s) - it does not tell you anything about the actual speed of the drive.

Heh, aside from the HDD it's better than my system. ;)

It'll serve you well as long as you see if you can do something about that HDD. (You could even purchase that system as-is, and then purchase an extra 1TB 7200RPM drive or an SSD and reinstall windows/simulators onto that, using the included 2TB drive for long-term storage.)
