-Ice Posted March 31, 2011 Posted March 31, 2011 I've done this once before but now that I'm looking for the instructions again, I can't seem to find it. I've got gremlins in my aircraft, my computer, and my manual :helpsmilie: I was wondering if anyone can tell me (again) how to reload DSMS? Specifically, I am looking for a way to "reload weapons," either because you've changed your loadout prior to a mission or because you've returned and rearmed and decided to give yourself a different set of weapons. Having to reload each pylon via the INV screen seems to be too much work. At the moment, I just reset the CICU and wait for it to boot up then press Load All... - Ice
Steel Jaw Posted March 31, 2011 Posted March 31, 2011 UFC sys is one way, another is to remap one of the bottom mfd menu keys to the load function by holding a bottom key down for more than a second and remapping off the next screen you will see. At work so have no manual ref sorry. "You see, IronHand is my thing" My specs: W10 Pro, I5/11600K o/c to 4800 @1.32v, 64 GB 3200 XML RAM, Red Dragon 7800XT/16GB.
Zenra Posted March 31, 2011 Posted March 31, 2011 Easiest I think is to use the SYSTEM / DTS Upload sub-page from the CDU (or using the UFC with the CDU displayed in one of the MFCDs, as Mower suggests). From that page select ALL ORIG DATA (L3). Zenra Intel i7 930 2.8GHz; ATI HD5850 1GB; 1TB Serial ATA-II; 12GB DDR3-1333; 24 x DL DVD+/-RW Drive; 800W PSU; Win7-64; TM Warthog HOTAS
StrongHarm Posted March 31, 2011 Posted March 31, 2011 As far as I know, the only way to achieve a full reload is to designate a button on one of the MFCDs to be a Load button. What I do is this: * Click and hold the MSG button on the right MFCD * Click the OSB next to Load * Click the MSG button again to redesignate that button as the Load button * Do your load * Reverse the above directions to set the button back to MSG If anyone knows a different way I'd be interested to learn. 1 It's a good thing that this is Early Access and we've all volunteered to help test and enhance this work in progress... despite the frustrations inherent in the task with even the simplest of software... otherwise people might not understand that this incredibly complex unfinished module is unfinished. /light-hearted sarcasm

Ah, this was the way! Thanks! For future reference, is this in the manual or anything? - Ice
Zenra Posted March 31, 2011 Posted March 31, 2011 Does the ALL ORIG DATA (L3) option on the CDU SYSTEM / DTS page NOT do the same thing? I can't try it right now, so am mostly just curious...
