Labels are a clunky solution to a real problem... that my eyes can see a lot better than my monitor's pixel pitch (well, okay, they can't, but thanks to Bausch and Lomb I can). The result is that a tank which would be somewhat visible at a distance tends to flicker between pixels or simply be impossible to see. So you get labels, maybe modify them as I did to just be a red dot, but that's still really 'obvious'.

Why don't we have an NLIPS setting then? NLIPS basically does exactly what it says - with perspective, scaling is adjusted in a non-linear inverse format, so things don't necessarily get smaller with distance. While it is basically just as unrealistic as labels it would remain slightly more immersive than having a magical text blob floating around. At a distance, vehicles would be scaled to fill up whole pixels or more, basically just appearing much bigger if only for the sake of visibility.

I think I'd happily take it over labels, though playing without is best, it's simply not always feasible.

Try turning off HDR, I found that makes enemies alot more visible. HDR shades over the enemies, somehow.

I also want the "smart scaling" feature like in the Falcon BMS. In the CSAR mission, after 15 minutes of low level flying, I couldnt find the pilot or the enemy infantry, even though I play with 1920X1080 resolution.
