oritpro Posted April 3, 2011 Posted April 3, 2011 I am stuck on the AN/AAQ 28 Litening-II training mission. I can get as far as designating a target at waypoint 4 as an SPI using the HOTAS TMS UP (long) command, and then the mission stalls out after that; in other words, I can continue flying around but the trainer seems to go AWOL. I've created a training document while working through this mission and documented all of the instructions given by the trainer from the beginning up to this point, so I am pretty sure I am following all of the required steps. Is this a known issue? I am running A10C v1.1.0.6. EvilBivol-1 Posted April 3, 2011 Posted April 3, 2011 No, the mission should be playing through correctly. Can you attach a track of your flight? You can record a track by opening the mission through the MISSIONS menu instead of the TRAINING menu. The missions are located in the Training folder of the game directory. When you exit the mission after flying it, you'll have an option to SAVE TRACK in the debriefing screen. - EB [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] Nothing is easy. Everything takes much longer. oritpro Posted April 4, 2011 Author Posted April 4, 2011 Ok, I finished the mission successfully, twice. The solution was to replace my keyboard. The up arrow key was "bouncing" so the sim probably wasn't detecting the HOTAS TMS UP (short)and HOTAS TMS UP (long) commands correctly via L. CTRL + UP. This explains a few other problems I was having too. Good to go, thanks for the quick reply. Intel Core I7 2600K, DP67BG Motherboard, 12GB Ram, MSI GTX460, Saitek PRO Flight X-65F, Dual 1080P Monitors Flight Sims: * DCS: A-10C Warthog * DCS: Ka-50 Blackshark * Lock On Platinum * Rise of Flight * Enemy Engaged - RAH66 Comanche Vs KA-52 Hokum
Dudikoff Posted April 17, 2011 Posted April 17, 2011 I had exactly the same problem in this mission the other day so perhaps it's not your keyboard. I'll try it again today to see if it works on the second go. i386DX40@42 MHz w/i387 CP, 4 MB RAM (8*512 kB), Trident 8900C 1 MB w/16-bit RAMDAC ISA, Quantum 340 MB UDMA33, SB 16, DOS 6.22 w/QEMM + Win3.11CE, Quickshot 1btn 2axis, Numpad as hat. 2 FPH on a good day, 1 FPH avg.
