martinistripes Posted April 14, 2011 Posted April 14, 2011 Been playing with the Su-25 a lot past few days. Decided to start the campaign Revanche. First mission, no problems. However 2nd mission I was thrown in to the T variant. In this aircraft, I can't get the engines to start. I even tried changing the keys. Same for single mission also. Su-25 fine, Su25T nothing. What I have noticed, is when I press the engine start buttons, the green indicators above the temp. gauges flicker. They flash on, and immediately back off again. Am I missing something? Dr_Arrow Posted April 14, 2011 Posted April 14, 2011 (edited) This also happens by me. Sometimes the engines cannot be started. Sometimes restarting the sim works. The second thing that usually works is to launch a quick mission shutdown and start engines. The last and probably the best solution of stuck engines is to start them by pressing shift+end and then shift+home (start both engines). Edited April 14, 2011 by Dr_Arrow
104th_Crunch Posted April 14, 2011 Posted April 14, 2011 Ensure your throttle is at 0 before starting and calibrate your throttle if required.
martinistripes Posted April 15, 2011 Author Posted April 15, 2011 Thanks, this was helpful. Seems in the T, my rudder axis was mapped to my thrust. Hence it wouldn't stay at 0 when trying to fire her up. :doh:If I'd tested the control surfaces properly, I no doubt would have seen this. combatace Posted April 17, 2011 Posted April 17, 2011 But for strange reason the default missions run settings that were used while saving the mission rather than settings on the machine which is running them.
