5Js_Mr.Magoo Posted April 21, 2011 Posted April 21, 2011 Hi there! I'd like to present you the new tritonal skin I just made for my virtual flight group (5Js). It is a fictional spanish skin with the patch of our group and the patch for the A10 pilots inside the group. I must say that it has a lot of work trying to make a high quality skin :music_whistling: And here in formation with another low visibility skin I made first Hope you like it :P Un Saludo! 1
636_Castle Posted April 21, 2011 Posted April 21, 2011 Sweet! I'm loving these. Kinda reminds me of an F-4. Just a suggestion, you can paint the inner exhaust nozzles black to make them look a little more burned and realistic. Like this: http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=72154 In fact the camo design is based on the F-4s that served in the Spanish Air Force. :smilewink: I'll take the suggestion into consideration. It will not be difficult to paint that part in black or even trying to give them a burned aspect using different colors. I'll have to investigate the real aspect ot the inner exhaust nozzles on real planes :book: Un Saludo! 1
Deadman Posted April 21, 2011 Posted April 21, 2011 Nice work I know how much time you must have put in to it  https://forum.dcs.world/topic/133818-deadmans-cockpit-base-plans/#comment-133824 CNCs and Laser engravers are great but they can't do squat with out a precise set of plans.
5Js_Mr.Magoo Posted April 21, 2011 Author Posted April 21, 2011 Toadster: Thanks mate, glad you like it :D Deadman: Indeed it has :smartass:. Also glad to see that people know how hard is to create a good looking "close to real" skin. Un Saludo!
Merlin216 Posted April 21, 2011 Posted April 21, 2011 I am not a big fan of fictional paints, but I do love that camo pattern and thing you did a very nice job. Excellent work. Thanks Merlin. I call it fictional since the skin is for a virtual Spanish Flight Group not a real sqdn. But the camo colours and distribution are close to real ones. Un Saludo!

todd022 Posted April 28, 2011 Posted April 28, 2011 That's excellent work! I actually just broke gound on a A-1E/H/J Skyraider tribute skin in the SEA paint scheme....kind of an homage to the original "Sandy's". Probably gonna look quite similar in many aspects. I hope i can live up to your work on the paint! [SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]
