Well , i think the title says all. I often change components (half a year) in my computer. does it mean that i will loose all activations this way?

Does starforce thinks of this problem?

Yes.

You have deactivations - use them where necessary. In addition, you have Starforce Proactive as linked to by KillaALF.

To further aid, herewith parameters:

An activation will be required if the hardware/software changes exceed 12 points as rated below:

CPU ID: 13

Windows PID: 3

Computer Name: 3

Hard drive volume serial number: 3

MAC address: 6

RAM amount: 6

Half a year, so...

You'll be good for 9 years, and after that you'll regain it every 31 days (which is less than "half a year", btw)...

The problem in your case is... ... ... ? ;)

I guess you never read where people have lost activations when plugging in joysticks, usb devices etc. You should not be loosing activations for such things, which includes uninstall and reinstall without changing anything so, stuff happens that should not. So is 31 days good enough, well yes if you get 2 instead of 1. At least if something strange should occur you can activate again and in 31 days receive another 2. I don't think 1 is enough but I think most would agree 2 would at least give a reasonable option. Just my 2 cents. :)

don't know about BS, I think it is the same as A-10 but I might be wrong on that one. I to prefer the DVD versions and I wait till I can get them. FC2 you will get our 8 activations back, so I have been told but under the new DRM for the DCS versions they have this automatic 31 day 1 activations system. If I am wrong with BS, I am sure someone will let you know. Cheers.
