I made a mission with mutliple scuds for a test, in a circle around that all sorts of targets, at different distances. I added them as targets for the scud via the mission editor. (in the real life it's +-3 degree maximum) If their selected target out of this limit the unit won't start the launching sequence. The target distance must be between 20-300km If the launcher vehicle lowers the ladders and the stability arms at the rear wheels, but the missile erector doesn't start to eract the rocket the target distance/direction is out of the limit.

Just try the mission that I have attached, look that the ground vehicles like tanks, cannot damage the scud.... but take it easy, I also attach a mod to "fix" this little bug. It is modman 7.3. crazyeddie Posted August 9, 2011 Posted August 9, 2011 Beczl Great mod, been looking forward to this for some time. I cannot get the S125 to engage anything, I'm pretty sure I have everything placed correctly, aircraft attacking it from outside the radar range, the radar starts running as the aircraft close with it but the battery just sits there without moving until somebody hits the radars. Any thoughts on what I have done wrong.

crazyeddie Posted August 9, 2011 Posted August 9, 2011 Beczl My game is very heavily modified so I had to do this instal manually to avoid displacing other add ons I have. I did try to install this weapon system a long time ago and failed so perhaps I have left something somewhere that is causing a conflict. This is very strange, I still cannot get some of my Red missile systems to engage Blue enemy aircraft now (S125 and Buk), the radars all work but they just sit there until the radars are destroyed. This row point to Su_27 so should be some Su-27 related entries cause thid global issue. Also you have some weapon related issue too. "no weapon sensor for host 22651002" The last mission track can be found at /Temp/LastMissionTrack.trk

beczl Posted August 10, 2011 Author Posted August 10, 2011 It seems you placed the SA-3 units in wrong way. You have to place all SAM units in same group e.g. a New Vehicle Group. It's a general rule for FC2 SAM units as well. Unfortunately I can't replay your track due it contain several units that not exist in my FC2...
