MBot Posted July 24, 2005 Posted July 24, 2005 Flying a georgian Su-25, you are to strike a russian helicopter base across the caucasian mountains using a terrain following flight profile. Mission created with Lock On 1.1, designed without labels. Difficulty medium. Enjoy :)Su-25_GeorgianRetaliation.zip
Brit_Radar_Dude Posted July 24, 2005 Posted July 24, 2005 Excellent to see ya back with a new mission. D/L'ed, hope to get time to try it in next couple of days..... [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] Sorry Death, you lose! It was Professor Plum....
christopher m Posted October 31, 2005 Posted October 31, 2005 Georgian Retaliation I have flow and modified this mission a bit and it's a great mission for the su-25 It need an su-25T for sead support so I added one and of course I added some Belgian f16 fighter support. I just can't stand having those migs overhead unhindered by any air cover for me. The air defense around the helecopters is nice also. I am learning slowly from people who upload missions Thanks much, [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] Christopher M
MBot Posted October 31, 2005 Author Posted October 31, 2005 Glad you liked it :) Btw, if you stay low you can sneak in without getting dedected by the MiGs. Tough you catch their attention once you start ground pounding that base mostly :)
Bluewing Posted November 1, 2005 Posted November 1, 2005 Very nice mission MBot, I have tried two times yet to stay low and hind behind the mountains, but I still get detected by the migs... any tipps ? :icon_wink
christopher m Posted November 2, 2005 Posted November 2, 2005 GR MBot Thanks for the info, I tried flying low but it gets kind of arcade=ish I like flying the 25 @ 1-4M and I get good Immersion I know you know what I mean Anyway your mission is interesting and I keep moding it and playing it QUESTION: why did you put all the extra stuff ? recon and helo flights ? and observation flights ? static objects ? all nice and good imersion but the processor load was huge ? Regards, [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] Christopher M
MBot Posted November 2, 2005 Author Posted November 2, 2005 Thats how I like my missions. That way Lock On feels a little less sterile. I don't experience much of a fps hit with my missions, but I never had much of a performance problem anyway. Lock On features many options to customice the graphics to run well even on slower computers. One just has to overcome his pride and actualy turn them down :)

Mechanist Posted November 3, 2005 Posted November 3, 2005 Great misson! I tried it 8 times and the MiGs just got me 5 times. But thats how i like it, a little hide and seek :) Oh and one "bug" in the mission: The bus witch in your airfield when you enter the mission is a ZIU-9 trolly bus :). It needs trolley wire to move. Btw it has the comfyest seats in the world! We have a couple of them here in Budapest (Hungary) "Fighters make movies, bombers make history."
Yellonet Posted November 3, 2005 Posted November 3, 2005 Roughly how long is the mission, in minutes? i7-2600k@4GHz, 8GB, R9 280X 3GB, SSD, HOTAS WH, Pro Flight Combat Pedals, TIR5
christopher m Posted November 4, 2005 Posted November 4, 2005 Georgian Retaliation MOD MBot Would you accept I uplaod my mod of your mission to LOMAC_files or LOCKON_files just for variety sake ? I will credit your original of course. It would be notched down in terms of threats with more support. Basicly the mission would be to take out the Air defence on the base then take out the Helos Regards, Maybe we should be doing MODS of missions all along since they would develope and improve that way [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] Christopher M
christopher m Posted November 5, 2005 Posted November 5, 2005 Please go ahead to do so. I uploaded it to LOCKON FILES they will have to accept it first. If you want to check it out let me know I can send it to you. Regards, [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] Christopher M
