After receiving some test scripts from forum member Alphatoomega and some very good help from the developer of Touch IR it looks like I finally got some good scripts to get the switch animation working. This including the switch status reading from DCS A10 so the Ipadpit can stay up to date with the virtual pit.

The first switch you can use are the one’s with the leftMFD. The following four switches are animated:

The MasterArm

The LasterArm

The GunArm

The TGP on/off

The functionality is working for two way and three way switches.

This is just a start. with the code I have now it is possible to get all switches animated. The big challenge with be the animation images self. As you will see the first four are a bit raw.. I’m still working on them, they will get better.

I didn’t had time for some long testing runs but you can get an early version here to try it yourself. Any feedback would be great!

ipadpit202_anim.zip

You should have the ipadpit running on you ipad when you start with this. If you don't have it already check my site. The Ipadpit is a free download but it uses the Ipad app Touch IR. This app will cost you including the inapp plugin autohotkey around 6$

In the test version with annimated switches

When I try to go onto a tab with an animated switch. (LeftMFD and the test page)

I get this error.

attachment.php?attachmentid=52379&stc=1&d=1307536454

I know its only a test version but I throught I would let you know it is not working for me.

but it has a perfect connection on and is working on all the other pages.

Just ignore that switch panel.. have a try with the left MFD.. Did you follow the instruction and added the Lua file? on what drive letter did you install DCS A10.. C: D: or E:... You get the time out if the script cannot read the export file that should be available when the export.lua is configured the right way.

Thanks Ghost_unit13 that probebly explains it (not installing the .Lua exporting file),. I have it installed on C: . I will test it when I get home, I think it will work now.

A case of RTFM! Thanks.

Jib.

yes you do need the export.lua and c: is ok as the default location.
