Ven Posted May 25, 2011 Posted May 25, 2011 I've had this issue with X52 Pro a while back and posted on Saitek forum thinking that there should be simple calibration fix. There wasn't and I was told that it was defect. Had to get a replacement. Not sure if X55 is different but I would ask on Saitek forum.
sid Posted May 25, 2011 Author Posted May 25, 2011 The joystick is the X52 pro and not x55.I remember that in my old windows i could calibrate it but in windows 7 i don't know how is done.
ilikepie Posted May 26, 2011 Posted May 26, 2011 it should be auto centering. un-plug it from the throttle and then plug it back in. Use the game controller calibration utility in win7 to see if it is centered when plugged back in. if not send it back for replacement. Action After Contemplation
sid Posted May 28, 2011 Author Posted May 28, 2011 Problem solved,i umpluged it and it autocentered. Thanks ilikepie
Bucic Posted May 28, 2011 Posted May 28, 2011 Just a piece of additional information. X52 series get its center set at system startup so make sure its handle is centered then. It gets calibrated the first time you make some moves with it, so make sure you jerk it fully in different directions before starting up a game. Uncontrolled and violent input in-game? In 90% of cases disconnected or damaged joy-to-throttle cable is the cause.
