Stadius Posted May 26, 2011 Posted May 26, 2011 is it possible to adjust the keyboard controls while in a game. It takes a very long time to quit a game and open the controls only to adjust one or two settings. Is it at least possible to view the controls while in game? I continue to search.
McVittees Posted May 26, 2011 Posted May 26, 2011 If only it were! No, the only way you can see your controls in game is if you've printed of the keyboard commands list I'm afraid. jpanside Posted May 26, 2011 Posted May 26, 2011 I dont think you can. this is actually really annoying though. I hope DCS can fix this.
Stadius Posted May 26, 2011 Author Posted May 26, 2011 Christ. It will take me longer to figure out the controls and/or program my X52 than it will to learn to fly the A-10. This should have been mentioned in some of the reviews I read.
Panzertard Posted May 26, 2011 Posted May 26, 2011 (edited) Hello Stadius. For a workaround, while learning keys: - I made my own print (A5 double page on A4, duplex print) and printed out a keychart to have on my desk. There's and "A-10C Key Command List.xls" in the installation directiory under the \Doc folder. Thats the one I used. But being able to adjust key assignments while in the sim, yes, that would be nice. Edited May 26, 2011 by Panzertard The mind is like a parachute. Not if you map your X-52 to match the configuration of the HOTAS in the real A-10C. Aforementioned configuration is diagrammed in the manual somewhere, I'd give you a page number but I don't have access to it at the moment. Anyway if you do it this way it's fairly quick (took me 20 minutes), and you can be sure that you have access to the same controls that the real life pilots do. [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
ivanwfr Posted May 27, 2011 Posted May 27, 2011 Maybe someone skilled enough could work on having one of the MFCD turned into an iPhone to get us on the Web while flying! This and a Google Doc and here you go!

ivanwfr Posted May 27, 2011 Posted May 27, 2011 You know I was joking.. don't you? In fact, I'm pretty sure that some lua solution could display a custom text overlay, like training sessions and communication menu do. I'm not (yet) tinkering with lua as I'm too busy with TARGET at the moment but I'll keep that in mind...
Chrisakky Posted May 27, 2011 Posted May 27, 2011 You know I was joking.. don't you? Lol yer but I'f it could be done It would be awsome!!!!! Some thing to do during long flights :music_walkman::) YouTube channel
