Homewrecker Posted May 27, 2011 Posted May 27, 2011 Can anyone please tell me if the "OFF" legend at the EAC switch on the Throttle is supposed to be backlit. Right now only "EAC" and "ARM" are illuminated. If the "OFF" legend is in fact supposed to be backlight as well I will have exchange the unit. Homewrecker Posted May 27, 2011 Author Posted May 27, 2011 That's what I figured. Thanks. Machine Specs: OS: MS Windows 7 64-bit SP1 CPU: Intel I7-980X Extreme Edition OC'd to 4.23 GHz RAM: 12.0GB Corsair Dominator DDR3 1866 Motherboard: ASUS Rampage III Extreme Storage: OCZ Vertex 3 120 GB SSD, OCZ Vertex 2 120GB SSD, WD Caviar Black 2TB Graphics: XFX Radeon 5970 Black Edition 2GB DDR5 X2 in CrossfireX Monitor: Dell UltraSharp U2410 @ 1920 X 1200 Flight Controls: Thrustmaster Warthog, Saitek X65
LostOblivion Posted May 27, 2011 Posted May 27, 2011 There are so many problems with the HOTAS, wonder if TM actually do any thoughrough testing before putting the QC mark on it. :S Mine was too sloppy in the stick it self, so I had to RMA it. All these errors make us have to wait two weeks for a replacement. :( Nice plane on that gun... OS764 P930@4 MBUD3R M6GB G5870 SSDX25 CAntec1200 HTMHW
Homewrecker Posted May 28, 2011 Author Posted May 28, 2011 (edited) I'm sure there is some sort of QC but probably fairly lax. The outer box (not the shiney printed one) the unit came in from the distributor had 'made in china' printed on it and had me somewhat worried. I've bought gym equipment that was "designed and engineered in the USA" but "made with quality" in China. What a load of crap that was. The build quality was awful. That could be the case here too. The store said they'll exchange it and I will have a new one by Monday. My only worry now is that there will be something else wrong with the new one. Too bad I couldn't just keep the stick from this one and exchange the throttle. I'll keep my fingers crossed.
