I need to take out a whole bunch of tanks with cbu-97's and I can't get close enough to employ them without getting shot down. Can anyone give me some tips on how to do this? VFA41_Lion Posted June 16, 2011 Posted June 16, 2011 I just flew this. Before engaging with cluster bombs, you should take a look around and fire mavericks at any AAA or SAMs you see. You should and can order your wingman to engage air defenses. Keep telling him to engage air defenses until he responds negative, and then try your bombing runs. (tell him to engage them too.)

Cerbero Posted June 23, 2011 Posted June 23, 2011 Take off after the Tornados, fly to waypoint Adder and orbit until their Harms clear most of SAM and AAA. Now u should be ok for bomb run! Good Luck!!

How would you know that they cleared the way? by monitoring their radio frequency? would they declare RTB?
