arriflex Posted June 18, 2011 Posted June 18, 2011 In xplane I neutralize my trim in both axes (axis'?) before any aerobatic maneuvers. This is accomplished with a mapping to one of my joystick buttons. I have not had a CFS since.......it's been a long time, and I was too young to really take it seriously. How does one proceed coming from Straight and Level flight to a condition conducive to aerobatic or combat maneuvering? Use a keyboard shortcut for takeoff trim for both axis? In the various tutorial videos I don't see the authors addressing this as they transition from S&LF to approaches or other maneuvers. Thanks!
mvsgas Posted June 18, 2011 Posted June 18, 2011 I'm no expert, but you should not have to change trim to maneuver. Not in any aircraft I ever work on. To whom it may concern, I am an idiot, unfortunately for the world, I have a internet connection and a fondness for beer....apologies for that. Thank you for you patience. Many people don't want the truth, they want constant reassurance that whatever misconception/fallacies they believe in are true..
JonahRichards Posted June 18, 2011 Posted June 18, 2011 I dont believe there is a trim reset command... correct me if im wrong

SmokeyTheLung Posted June 18, 2011 Posted June 18, 2011 AFAIK pressing the take off trim button neutralizes your trim (in the air and on the ground) System specifications: Computer, joystick, DCS world, Beer
Frostiken Posted June 18, 2011 Posted June 18, 2011 Pressing and *holding* take-off trim will slowly bring all trim back to neutral. The light means that your trim is reset. [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
