Best operating system for FC2 (and other sims)

Hi girls,

 

I'm thinking about changing OS on my PC and I was wondering which is the best in terms of performances and stability for FC2 and for playing in general (with modern games):

 

XP/32, XP/64, WIN7/32, WIN7/64

 

(I'm quite sure you'll say WIN7, not sure about 32/64)

 

My sys: XP32, AMD 965 (3.4X4), 4Gb DDR2 800, Sapphire 6950 2Gb, complete TM hotas (using gameport; I'm looking for 2nd hand USB Cougar 'cause win7 doesn't support gameport anymore).

Windows 7 x64 without a doubt, don't waste your time with a 32bit OS :)

 

To be more blunt if you decide to go with Windows 7 32, you'll be needed to use the info in this thread to avoid hard crashes with FC2/DCS titles :P

So I go for Win7/64.

 

This means that I have to say goodbay to my glorious hotas and get a new one supporting USB.

 

I tried everything to keep it alive with win7 (32): using a USB-gameport adapter I got it working only for axis; keyboard and programmable buttons stopped working...
