complete system failure

Sorry if this seems like a dumb question, but im still training in this fantastic sim

I just had a complete sytem failure, well i think it was complete, couldnt restart engines or anything, at about 5000 feet

Question how do i raidio this in, is there emergency channel or somthing

Anyways i went in with no gear, I try'd to belly flop her, on some flat ground,

Thought i had got away with it, untill she dug in and fliped over:music_whistling:

There no emergency channel in radio or anything, with belly landings you're better off going to runway, so don't flip so easily - and gently please, who's gonna pay the repairs?

Well .. I guess they should invest in good and complex ATC before there implement the option for emergency radio call, so the ATC will actually clear the runway for you...

This caused it then mate. gravity fed fuel system or something like that. You need to start your APU again to get the engines running if your at 5000. You need to be way higher for a bleed air, windmill start

To be specific, the A10 has collector tanks which can provide fuel for the engines in negative G or inverted flight. These tanks provide about 10 seconds of fuel at max power.

Interesting topic this! Noticed this myself and good way to practice air starts!:smilewink:

 

Any other Jets out there that dont fly inverted? This is reminiscent of the Hurricane and Spitfire in WW2, inverted and in -g, the float in the carburettor would fly up in the float chamber, cut off the fuel to the carb and starve the engine....the Me109 of course had fuel injection so -g and inverted no problem;)

 

Yet our Hog doesn't like -g?:music_whistling:
