dooom Posted June 27, 2011 Posted June 27, 2011 as the question asks... if someone broadcasts an SPI or sends one to me, can I slave TGP to it to find the general area they are talking about? dankeshon ASUS Tuf Gaming Pro x570 / AMD Ryzen 7 5800X @ 3.8 / XFX Radeon 6900 XT / 64 GB DDR4 3200 "This was not in the Manual I did not read", cried the Noob" - BMBM, WWIIOL
Nate--IRL-- Posted June 27, 2011 Posted June 27, 2011 Hook the SPI on the TAD (TMS FWD Short) then make it your own SPI with (TMS FWD long) and then slave the TGP to your SPI. Nate Ka-50 AutoPilot/stabilisation system description and operation by IvanK- Essential Reading
shu77 Posted June 27, 2011 Posted June 27, 2011 Worth noting that the TAD needs to be the SOI first. Then use the Slew key to move the cursor over the broadcast SPI, then use the process described above Hornet, Super Carrier, Warthog & (II), Mustang, Spitfire, Albatross, Sabre, Combined Arms, FC3, Nevada, Gulf, Normandy, Syria AH-6J i9 10900K @ 5.0GHz, Gigabyte Z490 Vision G, Cooler Master ML120L, Gigabyte RTX3080 OC Gaming 10Gb, 64GB RAM, Reverb G2 @ 2480x2428, TM Warthog, Saitek pedals & throttle, DIY collective, TrackIR4, Cougar MFDs, vx3276-2k Combat Wombat's Airfield & Enroute Maps and Planning Tools
Steel Jaw Posted June 27, 2011 Posted June 27, 2011 IIRC you may run into times where the TGP just slaves to empty ground. I have some across this once but haven't been able to reproduce it - However, I suspect it is a product of the wrong DTS elevation data being used by the sender and not laser ranging in that particular case.
