jazjar Posted July 3, 2011 Posted July 3, 2011 Hello, I just downloaded Tacview and I cannot see my flights that I have flown in it. I have the export scripts copied into the Config/export folder but it still doesn't work and there is nothing in my My Documents/Tacview folder after I have finished flying several, regular missions! Please help. [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
cichlidfan Posted July 3, 2011 Posted July 3, 2011 (edited) The number 2 button in the program is Recording. Is there a check mark next to Record [DCS: A-10C Warthog] Flights? There should also be a little DCS: A-10 icon in the lower right corner of the Tacview window. You said you "copied" the export files. There should not have been any copying to do. The first time you run Tacview, you click on the second icon from the left then click the record option for DCS:A-10. That is what modifies the sim so that Tacview will work. Nothing else needs to be done. Note: Patching may break the connection and you will have to tell Tacview to record once again. Also, I beleive that if you use Helios, when you set up the editor it will break the Tacview connection as well although the reverse does not happen! Hope this helps, BTW, be aware that Tacview records replays as well, so you may end up with a lot of unexpected files. jazjar Posted July 3, 2011 Author Posted July 3, 2011 Yes, the check mark next to DCS A-10C is checked but where do I find an ACMI recording in Tacview once I have completed a mission in DCS A-10C? [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
104th_Crunch Posted July 4, 2011 Posted July 4, 2011 Temp folder of your sim install, or in Tacview use the option for location of the saved tacview ACMI files.
cichlidfan Posted July 4, 2011 Posted July 4, 2011 Yes, the check mark next to DCS A-10C is checked but where do I find an ACMI recording in Tacview once I have completed a mission in DCS A-10C? Unless you changed it, the option is just below that check mark, they should be in your My Documents\Tacview folder. Otherwise, use windows search for the .acmi files. Won't take long and then you will know where they went. Harle Posted November 22, 2014 Posted November 22, 2014 (edited) Ok! Now A-10 aside, how do I make work with DCS World to watch FC3 replays? All the file editing/copying as per this manual http://lomac.strasoftware.com/tacview-dcs-en.php brought no results. Fixed: there was "ACMI Files Recording Folder" left to set up. And the aforementioned manual says nothing about it. Edited November 23, 2014 by Harle
