Hi Idiot needs help :helpsmilie:

Just installed the Icontrol and need some help.

I'm using a single monitor.

Is it possible to export the Mfds to the Ipad without having the Mfds displaying on my main monitor.

I'm only getting 2fps on the Ipad.

How do i get both Mfds on the ipad at the same time.

I also had a stuck key warning message on the displays OSB 9 on the LMFCD

Any help is appreciated. :)

Until the creater of icontrol see's this thread, I'll answer as best I can.

It is not possible to have the mfcd on the iPad without displaying on the screen. If you have a second monitor you can place them there though.

For the fps, When setting up icontrol, set the quality of the images sent to the iPad to medium. You can also try low. Another option is to disable windows aero (vista or 7)

It is not possible to put both mfcds on the iPad at once, until the update I believe.. Don't quote me on that

Finally, if you swipe across the iPad and accidentally hit a button in the process you get that error. Try swiping in a location with no touchable buttons

That's the best I can offer as a simple user

System:

i7 920 @3.8ghz; GTX 560ti 448; 6gb DDR3 1600 ram; 750gb HDD; 750w PSU; Win7 64bit; x52 Pro; TrackIR 5

This is all correct. The stuck key issue should be fixed with V2.

Disabling aero can have a profound effect on MFCD framerate. Also make sure your wireless network is on a clear channel with no interference from nearby networks, cordless telephones, etc. When streaming MFCDs quickly, the application will pump out data at over 8Mbps, on b wireless you'll never hit that rate, on G, you'll need a strong signal.

Keep an eye out for V2. It should be here any day!

Boarder I just had a Left MFCD Stuck Key on OSB12 just now running V3. Do you think iControl DCS was the culprit or perhaps something else?

Also, noticed there is a noticeable delay between press and release of UFC keys (maybe other as well) in the sim now (i.e. I tap UFC keypad 5 in iControl DCS, DCS A-10C registers UFC keypad 5 press instantly but, even though I make only a quick press, DCS A-10C behaves as though I held the key down for half a second. Is this intended?

I have the same problem, talked about in an other thread.

I also installed a "virtual monitor" , the problem is the MFCD´s will only fit on the iPAD while be also on the main monitor in the left upper corner.

If I place them any where else the iPAD will not found them.

I decided to let the icontrol by-side until there is a solution.

Can both of you send emails to support@bit-shift.com with your specific problems? It's a lot easier for me to keep track of things that way :)

Tom - make sure that the virtual display is on the right side of your main display, and that your main display is marked as the primary. The configuration tool will refuse to expand into anywhere it sees as negative coordinates, because A-10 won't work when it's set up like that.

AJ.85 - There shouldn't be lag like you're talking about. You seem to be running a pretty beefy system with plenty of cores. You could try limiting the FPS captured by the server in the options dialog to something lower than 60. Also make sure you have a very strong signal from your wireless access point and that there isn't other heavy wireless traffic while you're using the software, it uses a lot of bandwidth. Try lowering the quality and/or size of the exported MFCDs as well.

If those suggestions don't solve the problems for you guys please let me know by email!

I've tried limiiting the server FPS (truthfully, since I'm only exporting the CDU I've had this limited to 10 from the start), and reducing the size of the exported CDU as well (from 370x200, to 185x100). This hasn't had any impact on the UFC 'lag' however. This lag doesn't affect the CDU keys at all. To verify that your install of iControl behaves similar to mine, try tapping an alphanumberic key on the CDU six times at roughly 210bpm. The result should be six characters on the CDU scratchpad. Now doing the same on the UFC for me only produces three characters in the scratch pad. Some other buttons that exhibit this behavior are the VHF "LOAD" preset buttons and any of the OSB around the MFCDs.

Also, it seems patch 1.1.1.1 fixed the erratic cycling of ILS frequencies before the decimal, however, using iControl it is impossible to select the digits 10 after the decimal. The digits 10 after the decimal can be selected using the 3d cockpit panel however.
