Jona33
Hi. Got a couple of texture mods off the website made by mustang. High resolution terrain noise and the road surface textures. Now all I need is to know where to put them. If anybody has these mods installed could you tell me where to put them. Always remember. I don't have a clue what I'm doing
PeterP
What about reading the installation.txt? :) This texture mod replaces the default low altitude terrain 'noise' texture with one that is 8x more detailed and better looking. INSTALLATION Make sure DCS A10C is not running and be sure to make a backup of the original texture files. 1. Navigate to your DCS A-10C Install folder 2. Navigate to the following zip folder - \DCS A-10C\Bazar\Terrain\vfstextures\LandTextures.zip 3. Make a backup of LandTextures.zip 4. Open LandTextures.zip and copy the following file into it: noise_small.bmp.dds
Jona33
A: this is the BS and FC2 version. B: There isn't one. Just the .rar file. But I'm guessing it's the same path with BS anyway. EDIT: Maybe not. There's terrain but then there's not a vfstextures or anything obvious I can see. Always remember. I don't have a clue what I'm doing
PeterP
Oh sorry ! Missed that - I mainly use this customised search to brose the forum http://forums.eagle.ru/search.php?do=getnew&exclude=24,25,26,27,28,30,31,35,37,43,44,45,49,50,52,54,64,74,81,84,36,39,40,41,42,95,99,112, - so I sometimes miss in which sub-forum I'm posting my answer... Please post the link to the files so I will have a quick look at it and give you a instruction. Edited July 10, 2011 by PeterP
PeterP
OK -found it! http://files.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/84711/ readme.txt (inside the RAR-container) This mod for FC2.0 and DCS Black Shark introduces a high resolution (4096x4096) terrain noise texture. MODMAN install compatible.you will need to A:get MODMAN to install it automatically -Modman 7.3 A-10C Patch for 1.1xx or Edit: This sometimes works but there are exceptions! see post #7 B: copy the Bazar folder inside the RAR-container to the root folder of your install of BS/FC2 - first make a backup of the files you will overwrite!
