Habu_69 Posted August 3, 2011 Posted August 3, 2011 Has anyone identified a lua file location where the mission preparation avionics configurations are stored? It would be very handy to have a number of "standard" config templates available (faux DTS) to avoid the rather lengthy mission preparation process. As an alternative, is it possible to enter the mission preparation feature with the engines and avionics spooled up ready to be configured?

Eddie Posted August 3, 2011 Posted August 3, 2011 As an alternative, is it possible to enter the mission preparation feature with the engines and avionics spooled up ready to be configured? Set the aircraft as start on runway, start prepare mission, setup what you want, go back into the editor and change the aircraft back to ramp start. Haven't tried it myself yet, but no reason why it shouldn't work that I know of. But modding the .lua files would save you some time, not sure exactly which parameters you can adjust easily other than the countermeasures presets. Need to look into that one.
Habu_69 Posted August 3, 2011 Author Posted August 3, 2011 My idea is to configure the cockpit in mission preparation, then copy and rename the lua file to a secure location. Do this for several avionics config templates (i.e. saved DTS files). Then prior to flying a mission, copy (and rename) the desired lua file back to the Cockpit folder. The potential problem I foresee is the possibility of a conflict between the template lua file and the actual loadout. Might crash the sim if conflict exists.
