Joyride Posted August 4, 2011 Posted August 4, 2011 How are you guys creating maps from the mission editor to use for briefings? Screen-print doesn't seem to work when in the mission editor for me. Thanks for any help!
Eddie Posted August 4, 2011 Posted August 4, 2011 FRAPS will take shots of the Launcher, failing that print screen then paste in to MS paint will work as well.
Druid_ Posted August 4, 2011 Posted August 4, 2011 IIRC printscreen puts your screenies in C:WIn7/users/Name/Saved Games/DCS WH/Screenshots i7-7700K : 16Gb DDR4 2800 Mhz : Asus Mobo : 2TB HDD : Intel 520 SSD 240gb : RTX 2080ti: Win10 64pro : Dx10 : TrackiR4 : TM Warthog : ASUS ROG SWIFT PG348Q
SmokeyTheLung Posted August 4, 2011 Posted August 4, 2011 Joyride, You could also try google maps (half joking/half serious :)) Also, all the images that make up your TAD maps can be located in your DCS folder. I'll look around and see if I can find them, as they look quite a bit cooler, IMHO, than the ME map. Rabbit System specifications: Computer, joystick, DCS world, Beer
Joyride Posted August 4, 2011 Author Posted August 4, 2011 IIRC printscreen puts your screenies in C:WIn7/users/Name/Saved Games/DCS WH/Screenshots Well duh. I knew the in-sim screenies went there, but for whatever reason just didn't think of screen shots from the editor going there as well. Many thanks.

Rabbit You know, the area I want to make a map of is very accurate in Google Earth to what's in the sim...it would almost work!...except it goes into a low-res tile just were I need to zoom in.
SmokeyTheLung Posted August 4, 2011 Posted August 4, 2011 Try google maps, instead of google earth. For whatever reason the "tiles" over Georgia in google maps look better than those of google earth (I'm guessing my google earth is way out of date) When I get off work I'll try and find those tad maps. I personally think this would be the best option. They are the maps we have to fly with after all! System specifications: Computer, joystick, DCS world, Beer
Eddie Posted August 4, 2011 Posted August 4, 2011 Joyride, If the area you want is included, just cut out a section of the TC-1 map and add any markings etc in your chosen graphics program. http://lockon.co.uk/downloads/documentation/tc-1_map/

Joyride Posted August 4, 2011 Author Posted August 4, 2011 How many 25th pilots can we get in one thread ;) LOL. I almost posted there, too. Ok, found the TAD maps (bazaar/terrrain/A-10C/Maps/), Rabbit...good tip. I like that style for realism. And will use the threater one you provided for the overview Paul. Thanks guys.
