Hi Folks,

yesterday I did my first Ramp Start Mission with the latest patch.

I fed the Hog with some truffles, as usual and it became alive.

Everything fine, no warning indications on the panel to the right knee.

Over the target area I wanted to deploy some CBU 105's. Everything setup, pipper falls through reticle, but NO RELEASE! Tried it several times... Guess there has to be something aligned? Im sure that proplem never occured before...:helpsmilie:

another one: It seems that the 1.0.0.8 patch was much more stable than the 1.0.0.9. With the 8, it almost never crashes to desktop. Now i would say every third to fourth mission I end my flight on the desktop. Anybody can confirm that?

btw: I use the "patched" version, perhaps the full 1.0.0.9 download version would be better?

thx 4 your answers, mates!

Did you hold the release button as the pipper descended? It's not enough to just line it up, you need to hold the release as it falls through.

Regarding crashes, it would need more detailed information to make a judgement. There's a lot of things that can cause crashes and seem like it's related to an update; for example a damaged HDD cluster a file got written to during patching. There are some guidelines in the Tech Support section that might help you gather some data, but the easiest would be to collect the crash-dump information through the Windows Event Viewer - it'll have entries for dcs.exe.

sure. As I said, the problem never occured before. After Take off from runway I dont have any problem too. And as we all know, no weapon in DCS will be released after a short tip on the button...

I think I will just download and reinstall the latest version. . .

@release Window: I know that, and never did it in another way. Still: "NO RELEASE!"

lol, just read my first post. Sorry guys, I really know that there isnt anything falling through anything with those inert guided Bombs. Still quiet early in central europe. But doesnt change anything to the problem...

A track file might help illustrate what's happening.

(And actually, there's many weapons on the A-10C that will release with just "a short tip" - Mavs, rockets, irons, AIMs...)

If proper proceedure is being followed yet the weapon still does not release, I'd like to see it so I can see if there's a bug we need to work on.

comeon mates, i meant "nearly" no weapon... but no matter.

I will try to give you a track soon.

Was the first mission of the Devil's Cross Campaign, by the way.

on the DSMS page the 105's were white and there was something different than "ready" in their "boxes"... (and NO, MASTER ARM was no factor!:music_whistling:)

Weapons ready for delivery are green lighted, normally, aren't they?

...that's the point!

After creating a mission, starting in the air: The CBU's say "rdy" on the DSMS page as I set an SPI to attack.

After a rampstart they simply don't! I have no idea why...

For the crash to desktop .. i don't think it came from the 109. can you check your temp, and administrator report for windows ? what it tell you about the crash ?

we are in summer and hardware temp take a hit .. ( one of the reason all my hardware is watercooled ).. are you sure your hardware OC is fully stable ?

I guess KillaALF is on the right way...

Read that for the first time, that you have to do some kind of "evasive maneuvers" to get those inertial guided weapons aligned...

...or did I get something wrong?

Will give it a try...

@Hardware: Im pretty sure, yes. And regarding summer: What summer are you speaking of? I think I never experienced one like that in 30 years.
