muamshai Posted August 10, 2011 Posted August 10, 2011 This sight is activated by pressing 8 or 9, I can't remember it now. But I wonder how to use this sight. My bombs using this sight doesn't land on the target. Any tips? This space is available for your advertisement
Case Posted August 10, 2011 Posted August 10, 2011 There are only 10 types of people in the world: Those who understand binary, and those who don't.
muamshai Posted August 10, 2011 Author Posted August 10, 2011 Noooo. I am talking about using the sights when you press 8 This one: This space is available for your advertisement
golfsierra2 Posted August 10, 2011 Posted August 10, 2011 Page 77 of the FC2 Manual "The fixed or "static" reticle can be called up from any combat mode by pressing the [8] key. The current mode will be preserved, but the HUD will be replaced by the static reticle. The pilot can toggle the reticle on and off with the [8] key. Aiming corrections in the reticle mode are made by the pilot maneuvering the aircraft to place the expected weapon impact point over the intended target. The cross hairs are positioned above the target by the required angle. Barrage rocket or cannon fire is employed at ranges of 200-400 meters." It doesn't say a word about bombs at all. I think, the reticle is only for strafing or unguided rockets. kind regards, Raven.... [sigpic]http://www.crc-mindreader.de/CRT/images/Birds2011.gif[/sigpic]
SUBS17 Posted August 10, 2011 Posted August 10, 2011 No its for bombs as well whats required is tables of altitude/speed/dive angle for bomb release. The F-16 has the same manual bomb sight for when the HUD malfunctions and the manual for the F-16 has such a table. [sIGPIC] [/sIGPIC]
muamshai Posted August 11, 2011 Author Posted August 11, 2011 aaa..so I need a table :) This space is available for your advertisement

The F-16 has the same manual bomb sight for when the HUD malfunctions and the manual for the F-16 has such a table. Well, might be true for the RL F-16, but here we're talking about the FC2 Su-25. As there is no table provided with the manual, it's no use to try to use the reticle for bombing. Even with a RL table for the Su-25 at hands, it likely will not fit to the physics of the simulation. SUBS17 Posted August 14, 2011 Posted August 14, 2011 No it will the factors to consider are speed, dive angle and altitude. Wind is also a factor so you do need that. The F-16 one can be moved up/down as well as left right for wind etc. http://www.fas.org/man/dod-101/sys/ac/docs/16v5.pdf P140 shows what I'm refering to, I wonder does the real SU25 sight have a depressible pipper like the F-16.
