Migo Posted August 10, 2011 Posted August 10, 2011 I just got em and boy does my game run smoother Which did you have before ? Because the changelog said the latest drivers only improved some 3D settings...
Dozer1606688093 Posted August 10, 2011 Posted August 10, 2011 Yes, I think i will skip this one cause it doesn't add anything I need. BS runs smooth for me with the old driver, so no need to update. Better safe than sorry. [sIGPIC]http://imageshack.com/a/img202/730/vguserbarmask.gif[/sIGPIC]
Lane Posted August 10, 2011 Posted August 10, 2011 (edited) Does this driver mention, something about A10 or BS ? no .. so don't expect anything better with it . If you want to get a better support for thoses games with drivers, there's only one solution, DCS should contact both AMD and Nvidia........... Nvidia or AMD driver teams will not move by their own, they have allready a lot of work. WarriorX Posted August 10, 2011 Posted August 10, 2011 Although 3D is a large part of this driver, there are other improvements as well. Check out the release notes completely before you dismiss it. Brutal Posted August 10, 2011 Posted August 10, 2011 I had a bit of a play around with my cards clock settings and I think I 'may' have over tweaked em cause it ran worse. So put the settings back to normal downloaded the new drivers an it is noticeably smother. Especially when I turn my head and look around in the cockpit.
Migo Posted August 10, 2011 Posted August 10, 2011 Although 3D is a large part of this driver, there are other improvements as well. Check out the release notes completely before you dismiss it. I read the whole PDF, it's only 3D Vision and some SLI improvements. Maybe interesting for some users: Limitations in This Release The following are features that are not currently supported or have limited support in this driver release: - Surround Gaming with 3‐way SLI Surround gaming is not supported on a 3‐way SLI system using GeForce GTX 200 series GPUs.
WarriorX Posted August 12, 2011 Posted August 12, 2011 Here are a few others... Enabled SLI technology on SLI‐certified motherboards with AMD chipsets: 990FX, 990X, and 970. Supports single GPU and NVIDIA SLI technology on DirectX 9, DirectX 10, DirectX 11, and OpenGL, including 3-way SLI, Quad SLI, and SLI support on SLI-certified Intel X58-based motherboards.
