amalahama Posted August 17, 2011 Posted August 17, 2011 One more... It would be great if fuze could be changed or programed in mission editor/mission planning. For example, instead using INV page to define HOF CBU altitude, which is not completly reallistic, to use this dialog box to define HOF, RPM and that kind of things. It could be used also to change between M904/905 and FMU113 fuzes in dumb bombs as well, if the dumb bombs fuzes would be modelled further on. Maybe the ability to change fuze setting in-flight can be retained and get active via .lua or something. Regards!
miguelaco Posted August 17, 2011 Posted August 17, 2011 Great idea! Certainly more realistic than what we have now.
skoner Posted August 17, 2011 Posted August 17, 2011 sorry but ah... can you explain what is function of fuze ? i haven't figured out yet thanks
Eddie Posted August 17, 2011 Posted August 17, 2011 It's what makes the bomb go bang. ;) Different types of fuze makes the weapons detonate in different ways. For example you can have airburst, impact and timed fuzes. Often you'll find dumb bombs with different fuze types loaded on to the an aircraft to allow the pilot multiple options depending on the target.
skoner Posted August 17, 2011 Posted August 17, 2011 thank but i can't figure out any difference in each Fuze setting can you give me some mk-82 airburst profile setting ?
sobek Posted August 17, 2011 Posted August 17, 2011 can you give me some mk-82 airburst profile setting ? Airburst fuzes are not modelled currently, hence the thread. Good, fast, cheap. Choose any two. Come let's eat grandpa! Use punctuation, save lives!
amalahama Posted August 18, 2011 Author Posted August 18, 2011 Oh, and IIRC, GBU laser codes are set up on ground as well, and they are not changeable in flight (but you still can change TGP laser code though). Another one to include in the mission editor/planning. Regards!
Eddie Posted August 18, 2011 Posted August 18, 2011 Most of the weapons settings currently adjusted via the inventory page can only be set on the weapons by ground crew in reality.
