WildFire Posted August 21, 2011 Posted August 21, 2011 I just wanted to make a short post if anyone can verify if this is working? Im in the midst of creating a 2 player coop campaign and I need to use radio triggers for some stuff, would like to know if the clients can "see" the radio commands in the list. Thanks in advance-
Laud Posted August 21, 2011 Posted August 21, 2011 Unfortunately no. But I hope it's quite high on their to-do list (same goes for all the other "host only"-functions. Speed Posted August 22, 2011 Posted August 22, 2011 (edited) Trying to fix this specific limitation was part of the reason I started learning Lua. If you want clients to be able to command things, you have to use a Lua mod for now (like this one :D http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=78767). The difference between client and host is pretty deeply ingrained so it may take a while to get this fixed... hopefully I'm wrong about this though! Druid_ Posted August 22, 2011 Posted August 22, 2011 Some time ago I went trawling through their lua library files and it did look like there was some references to network code in the comms. I can only assume that it was deemed not a priority and resources were moved to other problem areas. I'm pretty sure they will sort this out as it will only continue to benefit future DCS aircraft releases (it will be portable code after all). i7-7700K : 16Gb DDR4 2800 Mhz : Asus Mobo : 2TB HDD : Intel 520 SSD 240gb : RTX 2080ti: Win10 64pro : Dx10 : TrackiR4 : TM Warthog : ASUS ROG SWIFT PG348Q
WildFire Posted August 22, 2011 Author Posted August 22, 2011 Go figure it'll have to wait, eh I can dig it. Its not that big of a deal, just the host will have to be active in the campaign, or we could figure it out with this new ChatIOlegacy update. I really like the command check loops, way useful. By the way that is the sh*t speed, you rock. Also Ive released my uber hard attempt at a real patrol mission finally. I got bored messing with it so I just threw it out. Check it out if you havent already. Its really difficult cause your expected to fly a whole patrol; flying around looking through the binoc's. It sux. lol. But at times its pretty fun. Gives a good idea what a pilot feels like when he's done.... TIRED.
