sgibson Posted August 21, 2011 Posted August 21, 2011 (edited) Hi, I read and tried so much on this topic but I simply can not get it working. What I tried so far: Downloaded and installed FaceTrackNoIR 1.5 Downloaded Eagle Dynamics API DLL 64bit and placed it under DCS A-10C\bin\headtracker\HeadTracker.dll FaceTrackNoIR Settings: Load Profile DCS_A10C.ini Tracker Source=Face API Game Protocol=Freetrack (also tried it with Fake TrackIR) I start the game but the head tracking simply does not work. FaceTrackNoIR recognizes my head movements but in-game it does not work. The DLL generates, as describe in the documentation, following file: C:\FTNoIR_ED_HeadTrackerLog.txt initHeadTracker was called! FileMapping was created :-). requestHeadTrackerData was called (bYaw,bPitch,bRoll,bX,bY,bZ) = (1,1,1,1,1,1). I also verified following setting in input.lua: NewInput.setHeadTrackerDllPath('./bin/headtracker/headtracker.dll') Has anyone an idea what else I could try or look into? Laidback Posted August 21, 2011 Posted August 21, 2011 Check this thread out. http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=75917 [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
V4Friend Posted September 9, 2011 Posted September 9, 2011 Hi sgibson, It sounds like you installed everything fine. The logfile is written by the code in the DLL, so the DCS-part seems fine. In FaceTrackNoIR, do you see your face, with yellow outlines and do the input-values (left bottom of window) change? If so, everything should be fine (indeed, you need 'faceAPI' as Tracker source and FreeTrack as 'Game protocol'). Someone in the other thread mentioned pressing ALT-c, to change from mouse-mode to headtracker-mode in DCS. Could you try? Also, some users have advised to run both FaceTrackNoIR and DCS 'As Administrator'. As for your other post: no, there is no debug-mode in FaceTrackNoIR (yet). It might be a nice addition (I discovered that while making the DLL for DCS :D)
sgibson Posted September 10, 2011 Author Posted September 10, 2011 (edited) Hi, In FaceTrackNoIR, do you see your face, with yellow outlines and do the input-values (left bottom of window) change? Yes, Facetracking works! Someone in the other thread mentioned pressing ALT-c, to change from mouse-mode to headtracker-mode in DCS. Could you try? Tried that one too. Actually also read somewhere to try CTRL + ALT + X and CTRL + ALT + Z Also, some users have advised to run both FaceTrackNoIR and DCS 'As Administrator'. Tried that too - no luck! I though about reinstalling everything ... maybe that helps  Edited September 10, 2011 by sgibson
sgibson Posted September 12, 2011 Author Posted September 12, 2011 Just for the record if someone reads this thread - IT WORKS NOW!! I uninstalled everything (FreeTrack, FaceTrackNOIR and A-10) and reinstalled everything again. As mentioned in several other Threads. It found it only works if both FaceTrackIR and A-10 are stared as Administrator (Run As Administrator) - even if the user is an Administrator for some reason.
Spidey209 Posted October 31, 2011 Posted October 31, 2011 I can't even get the C:\FTNoIR_ED_HeadTrackerLog.txt to show up :(
