bluepilot76 Posted August 23, 2011 Posted August 23, 2011 I dont often make my own missions but been giving it a go recently. First off a simple mission, me, wingman against SA8. Ramp and runway starts. DSMS shows all stores as expected. When I tried to make it a bit more interesting (a few friendly air units and a few extra enemy grund units) I found that my DSMS page had red boxes for the top 4(?) stations on each side. The sidewinders and ECM both showed up though. No matter what I try I cant get it to show up the stores. I have tried getting the groundcrew to rearm it, they do but no stores shows up, I have reloaded the DSMS, but no stores show up, if I go into the INV part of DSMS it shows red "I"s at the stations, when you click on one it says "check payload-CBU105 detected" or something like that. What am I doing wrong? I tried making a new "complicated" mission from scratch and get the same condition. Technical Specs: Asus G73JW gaming laptop... i7-740QM 1.73GHz ... MTFDarkEagle Posted August 23, 2011 Posted August 23, 2011 Could you upload a track file? Lukas - "TIN TIN" - 9th Shrek Air Strike Squadron TIN TIN's Cockpit thread
nomdeplume Posted August 23, 2011 Posted August 23, 2011 Did you use the 'prepare mission' option at all? See this thread and/or this thread.
bluepilot76 Posted August 23, 2011 Author Posted August 23, 2011 Hi, I can upload the mission files when I get back to my laptop. I did not save a track but it is easy done. HOWEVER I dont think I did this "prepare mission" thing, I more or less made the mission, saved it, then hit the bllue button (fly it now?), I also tried opening it as a saved mission from the main lobby. In all cases I went into the weapons manager and selected a loadout for the jet. Im just going to have a read those linked threads and will revert. bluepilot76 Posted August 23, 2011 Author Posted August 23, 2011 OK, had a read, sounds like the prepare mission thing is a bad thing to do.. Well I dont think I did it, unless that is what the blue "fly it now" button is! Not got the simulator to hand so I cant check... Technical Specs: Asus G73JW gaming laptop... i7-740QM 1.73GHz ... nomdeplume Posted August 23, 2011 Posted August 23, 2011 Nope it's not, prepare mission is accessed from the menubar at the top of the screen. Upload the mission and/or a track from it when you can.
bluepilot76 Posted August 23, 2011 Author Posted August 23, 2011 Rgr that, should get them up around midnight UTC. BTW Im not bothered about "fixing" the missions, Im just getting used to the editor, I was more concerned that there was something in the cockpit that I was doing wrong / didnt know how to do.. nomdeplume Posted August 24, 2011 Posted August 24, 2011 Hi, I haven't run the mission but I quickly opened it in 7-zip and I can see the DSMS (and other) folders there which implies you have actually used the prepare mission function, even if you don't remember doing so. :) If you follow the instructions in those other posts to open the .miz zipfile up and delete everything except the 'mission' and 'options' files, the problem will disappear.
bluepilot76 Posted August 26, 2011 Author Posted August 26, 2011 Hi nomdeplume!, Thanks for looking at it for me, Im glad it wasnt something I was doing wrong in the cockpit! I will be careful to avoid that option in the ME next time I try it! Technical Specs: Asus G73JW gaming laptop... i7-740QM 1.73GHz ... GTX460m 1.5GB ... 8GB DDR5 RAM ... Win7 64 ... TIR5 ...
