711Hancer Posted September 7, 2011 Posted September 7, 2011 did you guys noticed that they close their canopy just before take-off thats what Im talking about checklists :d
Frostiken Posted September 11, 2011 Posted September 11, 2011 Checklists aren't the A-10 Bible that sim pilots make it out to be. The reason most A-10 pilots leave the canopy open is because the ECS system doesn't put any air in the cockpit when they're on the ground / engine are on low power. So to avoid from suffocating or melting in the cockpit they leave it open until just before they're ready to roll. [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]

Well if they have the APU running they have plenty of bleed air...its only with the APU off that bleed air for the ECS system is crap... v303d Fighter Group Discord | Virtual 303d Fighter Group Website
