hreich Posted August 24, 2005 Posted August 24, 2005 I was wondering about these settings in lomac.cfg: day: ---- L1 ---- L12 night: --- L1 --- L12 mfd --- L1 --- L12 QUESTION: WHAT ARE L1 and L12? [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] Pilot from Croatia
GGTharos Posted August 24, 2005 Posted August 24, 2005 They're the distances at which some textures blur/dissapears/are replaced by lower res textures. If you want to see roads farther, set L1 30000 L12 40000 All our 44th guys do this ... really helps with CAS esp. from higher altitudes! Really good for orientation also. kdittyr Posted August 24, 2005 Posted August 24, 2005 What does this do to your overhead? I mean does the sim take a framerate hit when you do this? Otherwise, sounds great. I take it that this is the fix for pop ups? __________________ kdittyr
GGTharos Posted August 24, 2005 Posted August 24, 2005 It's not a fix for popups, and I don't think it reallya ffects yoru framerate too much if you have a decent computer. GGTharos Posted August 24, 2005 Posted August 24, 2005 Make sure you night and day settings are IDENTICAL, otherwise you'll get whacky graphics effects at dawn and dusk. [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] Reminder: SAM = Speed Bump :D I used to play flight sims like you, but then I took a slammer to the knee - Yoda
