uzipaz Posted September 19, 2011 Posted September 19, 2011 I am using a Saitek x45 right now.... I am looking forward to get the CH fighterstick and pro throttle.... however, after researching about it on the web, I found out that the Pro throttle does'nt have a rotary function.... The x45 throttle has two rotary functions although I have only one in use(for radar antenna elevation)... Now, flying fighters like f 15, f 16... successfully scanning the airspace for bandits is one of the important tasks needed to be done and a rotary for radar antenna elevation is a must have(on the throttle) and I cannot compromise on that..... although the fighterstick has three axis wheels around the base from which one of them can have that function but I don't want to get my hand off the throttle every time I want to adjust the elevation.... Is anybody else using CH pro throttle? how are they using the radar antenna elevation...? Should I look forward to getting CH products with the reason I stated above?
104th_Crunch Posted September 19, 2011 Posted September 19, 2011 You're right. A rotary is sorely missing on the CH Throttle. You will have to use a hat switch. Really it is not so bad and works well with all sims. You will have much better overall quality than the Saitek.

I will have to use hat switches to make that work.... but that will be a turn off... :(
104th_Crunch Posted September 19, 2011 Posted September 19, 2011 Yeah. I wish there was a rotary on my Ch throttle, but again it iwell made overall. The TM Warthog has no rotary as well. Crazy.
gear_monkey Posted September 19, 2011 Posted September 19, 2011 wouldn't this be a good use of the mini-stick? Also...look into a mod called "Franken Potato". I seem to remember a guy who sells modded throttles with added functionality. Win 10 64bit; 32 GB DDR4 3200 Ram; ASUS MoBo; 1TB SSD;Intel i7 8700K; GTX 1080ti 11GB; Thrustmaster Warthog;Odyssey + VR
104th_Crunch Posted September 20, 2011 Posted September 20, 2011 I think the ministick is best for the target designator. Worth a try though to switch them around, but to me the TDC must have the most accuracy. Yes, the is the Franken Potato Mod, if you spend the extra and don't mind the warranty being invalid. Have a google for it.
531-Ghost Posted September 21, 2011 Posted September 21, 2011 I knew I should've copywrited my pictures ;) Although, that's the "old" version of F-P III The "new" one has the 4 way hat where button 2 is and button 2 I moved to where you see that 4 way hat. :joystick:
