Weird happenings on s77th

Last night during testing out to see if i could get rid of stutter, i jumped on the s77th server, i had to restart cuz i forgot to use procaff and i got stutters, i came bak on and NO ONE else was in the server apart from me and the s77-oc 192 yada yada yada

I started my engines and started to roll and all of a sudden a friendly f16 starts to vulch me ? am like wtf, i typed in OH YOUR LEET and it continued to do crazy stuff and try and kill me, I then typed in, I KNOW ITS YOU xxxxx insert server owner name here and then it suddenly stopped ?

and still no one else was on the server except me and the actual server

log showed f16 kill f15 by cannon

 

Any ideas guys as to what this may of been ? cuz no way was it AI

we have coops running sometimes but i don t think any was on last nite ...

i aint being drama queen, i askin if any of you knew what it could possibly be,

the server was empty when i went onto it, and no one from s77th was on hl or i would of contacted you threw hl..

when i was being shot at server was empty, when i ejected server was empty, only person i saw from 77th was dante and he was on hl himself 5 minutes before this happened and he left hl just as i joined the server, i not saying it was anyone particular person, but it was strange that when i typed in the msg it stopped...

oh and last night = thursday, me no smoke weed on a thursday.....

and as this is the LOCKON forums i feel this is the appropriate place to get in contact to see what might of caused this....

and... we don't know what went on with your experience last nite , nobody was there remember ? and nobody can fly from the server, it's a dedicated machine.

carry on all you like, nothing can possibly deny the fact that someone was flying that f16, who it was i dont know, NO ONE I REPEAT NO ONE WAS ON THE SERVER it was empty on hl and empty again when i joined via ip, and why would a friendly f16 want to specifically vulch me , it was doin turns only possible by human player, AI dont fly like that, and i say again as soon as i typed that message it was like a light being switched off, it just stopped, i check to see if the server had anymore ppl on it than just me, but no it was me and the server....

carry on by trying to flame me and call me a drama queen all you wish... i came here lookin for an answer and i got someone who thinks what happened could never happen on there server, well it did.

if you havent got anything about what happened to say, go drink a cup of STFU

the f16 even landed at my base after i respawnd

F-16's cannot be flown unless made available by the server.

Friendly aircraft do also suffer from the 'Friendly Fire' bug now and then.

Missions can and will include AI's.

The fact that the F-16 landed and the abrupt stop of the attack indicates an AI running out of guns ammo.

 

 

I'm sure the S77th can clarify that for you even better.

Do you have any mods installed on your PC to make the 16 flyable? With these new humancockpit=yes mods, I'm not sure if what you're saying is even a possibility without you having a modded game. We had someone on the server with a Mirage mod a coupla days ago, but no one saw him as a Mirage.

1st worthy repy ive had in this thread, no i did have previously but i formatted and reinstalled the game, i have just got stock 1.1 no mods, no cockpits to yes, just lockon with 1.1 over the top and then the fixes...

I agree that f16s cannot be flown unless made available by the server, i agree that there is AI on there server, but this f16 was doin stuff, only human players would do, it was doing aerobatics directly above me coming in shooting then weaving in and out of buildings, it was like i was the only target on the map and he wanted to get me at all costs i never ever seen AI do that, in hindsight i should of took screenies but i just wanted to get up and kill him, but by the time i respawned he was landing and as i was taxing he/it had already landed... not once have i seen AI fly the way this f16 was flying...

Did he park like AI? Nose in or in a bunker?

 

It really seems like AI to me, and our server has no mods installed that would allow a human to fly anything but the normal LOMAC flyables. I didn't see the turns he was making so I can't comment on that. Even if it was simply AI, I've never heard of the FF bug applying to friendly AI planes. Very weird.

It was almost 100% an AI plane. A player wouldn't have taxied, he'd have hit the brakes, re-armed, taken off and strafed you again.

Hah! Now we see how 'lousy' the AI is - they can't even kill friendlies :smile:

 

Our squad is flying on the big servers for ages and we had NEVER anything to

complain about. So until you come up with some screenshots or better proof

i'll suggest we forget about it. Not to brush it under the carpet but to inhibit

No, it did kill him - he respawned. A player who's flying around the airport TKing would have typically continued to do so.

 

In the FF bug situation, once you are killed, you are reset to 'friendly'.

Furthermore, he did say no one else was on the server, and I really doubt that anyone could have been flying from the server box itself, since't its probably some rackmount far away from everyone.

 

Pretty much guaranteed it was an AI aircraft ;)

ya it got me on second pass when i started to run for it on runway, first time it started to shoot was when my engines where spooling and it killed right engine, then i had to dodge it all the way to the runway with it shooting at me, but it got my second engine on the runway just as i was lifting off....

Ouch, that hurts. The S77th say there was no ccop with Ai running ... now i'm confused,

nothing new btw :smile: But i have a simple explanation for all this: the AI are 'sleeping'

in the background of each server until only one player is online and ...

THEN THEY STRIKE BACK - all your bases belong to us! Ho ho the AI is way more
