Korn Posted September 29, 2011 Posted September 29, 2011 Hallo gents, Can someone please enlighten me as to how one can remove waypoints from flightplans or delete them entirely? If possible. I know how to insert / add waypoints but i just can't find a way to delete them. I do know that markpoints cannot be deleted, still, just removing stuff from existing flightplans would be great. Also, how do i delete flightplans? I did look in the manual fyi, can't find the info there...
kylania Posted September 29, 2011 Posted September 29, 2011 Don't believe you can, but you can make your own flightplan on the fly and just make that active. [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] Christmas Cheer - A Landing Practice Mission : Beta Paint Schemes : HOTAS Keyboard Map : Bingo Fuel - A DCS A-10C Movie
Korn Posted September 30, 2011 Author Posted September 30, 2011 The flight mention does mention the posibility @page 252: "Waypoints, R5, R7 and R9. Used to delete or overwrite flight plan waypoints. "
WildBillKelsoe Posted September 30, 2011 Posted September 30, 2011 Hallo gents, Can someone please enlighten me as to how one can remove waypoints from flightplans or delete them entirely? I did look in the manual fyi, can't find the info there... The CDU memory for way/steerpoints can store 2000 entries of real world geo locations. Deleting is not possible, and frankly, not a necessity.. Would you cumulate 2000 coordinates in a single mission? I dont think so. Say you wanted to give a markpoint to each enemy ground vehicle you find. they will not approach 200 in number.. AWAITING ED NEW DAMAGE MODEL IMPLEMENTATION FOR WW2 BIRDS Fat T is above, thin T is below. Long T is faster, Short T is slower. Open triangle is AWACS, closed triangle is your own sensors. Double dash is friendly, Single dash is enemy. Circle is friendly. Strobe is jammer. Strobe to dash is under 35 km. HDD is 7 times range key. Radar to 160 km, IRST to 10 km. Stay low, but never slow.
kylania Posted September 30, 2011 Posted September 30, 2011 Why do you want to delete anyway? [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] Christmas Cheer - A Landing Practice Mission : Beta Paint Schemes : HOTAS Keyboard Map : Bingo Fuel - A DCS A-10C Movie
Korn Posted September 30, 2011 Author Posted September 30, 2011 Well, suppose I want to modify an existing flight plan by removing some of the existing waypoints. And it is a compulsion i have :) to delete unused things. Anyway, thank you kindly for your answers. I guess the quote i gave from the Flight Manual in my previous post it's a mistake then.
kylania Posted September 30, 2011 Posted September 30, 2011 I'd probably just make my own flight plan using a mixture of marks I made and existing waypoints (those are accessible I think?). Korn Posted October 1, 2011 Author Posted October 1, 2011 Yes of course. Just seems like the damned things are undeletable ;p.

kylania Posted October 2, 2011 Posted October 2, 2011 Could always just edit the mission before playing it. :) [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] Christmas Cheer - A Landing Practice Mission : Beta Paint Schemes : HOTAS Keyboard Map : Bingo Fuel - A DCS A-10C Movie
Korn Posted October 4, 2011 Author Posted October 4, 2011 (edited) Ok so it is possible, i got the solution on SimHQ: -> on CDU FPBUILD page use left buttons to select waypoint -> press CLR -> done! :D So there seems to be a mistake in the manual, it should be L5, L7 and L9 and not "R5, R7 and R9". Mod, again, pls move this back to main A-10 forum, this has nothing to do with mission building. Edited October 4, 2011 by Korn
