bluepilot76 Posted October 5, 2011 Posted October 5, 2011 I saw a video on YT where the pilot walks up to the extended ladder of the A-10 as if he is going to get in that way. Has getting in and out been implemented now or would this just have been an ejected pilot walking about? Technical Specs: Asus G73JW gaming laptop... i7-740QM 1.73GHz ... lobo Posted October 5, 2011 Posted October 5, 2011 Ejectee on a walkabout me thinks. :) Lobo's DCS A-10C Normal Checklist & Quick Reference Handbook current version 8D available here: http://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/files/172905/
Ragtop Posted October 5, 2011 Posted October 5, 2011 Yep, ejected pilot. I'd love to be able to move in and out of the pit. Start your mission walking out from the pilots quarters! Remember to pick up your helmet and flight notes! 476th vFG Alumni
kylania Posted October 6, 2011 Posted October 6, 2011 This x1000! Allow us to climb out using the ladder and optionally start outside and do a walk around. Maybe even control ground crew from outside the cockpit. Such immersion. :) [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] Christmas Cheer - A Landing Practice Mission : Beta Paint Schemes : HOTAS Keyboard Map : Bingo Fuel - A DCS A-10C Movie
bluepilot76 Posted October 6, 2011 Author Posted October 6, 2011 Yes this has been in the wish list before, where I expect this thread will be going shortly! I have been away from the community and when i saw the video on YT I thought it might have been implemented, dissapointed that its not. I want to be able to plan my mission in the bunker, walk out into a truck, get driven to the aircraft, do a walk around and then get in and fly it. After landing, get out and walk around, checking out the damage. Maybe get into another aircraft, or even into a KA50. Technical Specs: Asus G73JW gaming laptop... i7-740QM 1.73GHz ... CADelta Posted October 6, 2011 Posted October 6, 2011 Why don't "we" try and integrate this Sim with Battlefield 3, so when you do eject you have your hands full with an FPS game ;) /Krycek = CAD = Krycek [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] I try to save a life a day. Usually it's my own!
Revelation Posted October 6, 2011 Posted October 6, 2011 I think we are still 5-7 years away from this scenario as a reality. Could even be closer to 10, you would need one hell of a budget and development studio. Win 10 Pro 64Bit | 49" UWHD AOC 5120x1440p | AMD 5900x | 64Gb DDR4 | RX 6900XT

kylania Posted October 6, 2011 Posted October 6, 2011 You can do that in ArmA2 already, a far better infantry milsim than the console shooter game of BF3. [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] Christmas Cheer - A Landing Practice Mission : Beta Paint Schemes : HOTAS Keyboard Map : Bingo Fuel - A DCS A-10C Movie
