J. Heller Posted October 6, 2011 Posted October 6, 2011 After giving some thought I decided to use the FMG included with the sim to get a bit more out of it. I selected a medium difficulty setting and left everything as far as force levels were concerned set at medium for both sides. Heres my problem: By the time I got airborne ( which wasnt very long since I am familiar with the A-10) all the enemy targets had already been destroyed and JTAC had nothing for me to do. Heres my question: If anyone uses this FMG what settings give the best results as far as creating "realistic" scenarios? I dont want an entire cluster**** of enemy targets that I have no hope of destroying but also I dont want to get in the air only to have the mission already be over. Any suggetions? Nate--IRL-- Posted October 7, 2011 Posted October 7, 2011 I've found that currently it is only really useful as a jump in pit and kill things generator. The missions it generates, while busy, are not that sophisticated. An Air-start is a must to talk to the JTAC before he's killed. EDIT:- Like all missions, use of the Mission Planner is recommended. amos2006 Posted October 7, 2011 Posted October 7, 2011 I used it a lot, for practice in a complex scenario, but you must start in the air, even if you start in the runway sometimes you will be late. If you want the full realistic experience you will be better with a normal mission. There are some very good missions to download.
711Hancer Posted October 7, 2011 Posted October 7, 2011 Click on advance settings and set all the assets to minimum since even setting them to medium creates lots of units. then click on edit mission if you want to change waypoints or put JTAC to a safe position always do runway start. you can also change starting time etc. then fly. its not too much fun but better than nothing.
