I'm building up a profile for the VAC, and not sure of the proper phases to use. Are the phases in the radio menu correct, or are there others used in real life. Such as, Permission to taxi, instead of Request taxi to runway.

Also should all transmissions start with your call sign, then the receiver, followed by the request. " Herig1, Tower, Request startup " or is it receiver first then the call sign with the request last. " Tower Herig1 Request startup "

Tried both a forum and a internet search and couldn't come up with any thing solid.

Thanks for any help.

You address the person you are contacting first then your own callsign.

So it would be "Tower, Herig1 request start". In reality a start call often has a lot more to it than just requesting start, but for the sake of what you are trying to achieve here, this would be correct.

Requesting start is something normally mandatory at busy airfields or airfields that have a para drop zone. In most parts of the world it is also mandatory for all IFR flights on a controlled airfield. You do not need to request start from ATC for the APU, so you have that running prior to your start call.
