Looking for buddies to play/simulate with ;)

Hey folks!

 

I got the game... 1 and a half days ago. I finshed all the tutorials, only navigation (custom WPs, everything custom in the CDU) gives me some headache. But that can be read in the manual if really needed. I also finished 2 instant action missions and landed properly somewhere with my wingman. :)

 

I am absolutely amazed and blown away by this simulator. It is so much fun to do all the stuff you do.

 

Right now what I am looking for are some buddies to play with. All the internet servers are locked and no info on TS\Vent servers is avaible. I am sure I can google that but that will be a last resort.

 

I am sure that playing some missions with some friendly people who really know their shit will really lift the quality of my own "gameplay". There is still so much to learn and I can't wait to find out about all the other stuff.

 

I am basically looking for someone to be "his wingman" for a while. I am avaible on Skype with my nickname without the 1702. I also have xfire but i rarely use it. I would use it more for this purpose though.

While I am not and expert at this, I love to play. If your interested I'm looking for people to play with as well. My skype name is Arality like my username. Anyone reading this feel free to add me as well.

 

I know these kind of threads pop up every once in a while maybe we could get a group going with the community for new people, or just people who don't have the time requirements to join a squadron. Then we can just find people online to play with when we have time?

 

BTW:

I found two steam groups for DCS that seem to have a lot of members might be a good way to find some people to fly with:

Xwargox I added you, same for arality. I am sure I will look into this casual-sim-flyers community soon... Thanks a lot for the links! I saw the banner somewhere but thought that it's some hardcore realism community. Misunderstanding, hehe. :)

 

I also edited my profile to show my location, that makes it much easier for other people to see if I am suitable for them as a wingman/buddy. I just got a PM from someone asking for my timezone... I would suggest to anybody who has not done it yet - put your location into your profile so we can easily see if you live in EU or US or whatever area with crazy timezones. :D

Even though I am in the US and time zone situation sucks, a buddy of mine from germany just got the game and I will be helping him out. Sometimes he gets confused with english. I shall make you my german slave for him. =]

I just had a first MP experience. Full of joking, laughter, noob mistakes a shit load of fun.

Lots of Knowledge there - almost everyday somebody is flying - very good chances of finding somebody who can help u out with almost every game/plane/Hotas-question.

and probably a good point as well _ nearly all of us can speak german :smartass:
