I must say that I still find flying the Su-25T in Lockon FC2 as challenging and dynamic as the DCS sims.

The only thing that I cannot quite give a meaning to is the diamond that appears over target once detected by a wingman.

In Multiplayer I don't think it is a problem, but in Single player you cannot get rid of it.

What is worse, it often marks targets you're not interested in, eg a remote AAA while you are focussing on a tank column.

And while I do not need DCS realism and Lockon is fine with me, I cannot imagine what reality is represented by this target diamond. Where the hell does it come from?

Can I get rid of it somehow?

I don't know where you see this diamond regularly . I know what you mean, but I've never seen it except campaign. In multiplayer it is sometimes added to mark more-less area of attack or ingress point.

You are not able to remove diamond, it will appear if mission designer added point as target in ME.

Reminder: Fighter pilots make movies. Bomber pilots make... HISTORY! :D | Also to be remembered: FRENCH TANKS HAVE ONE GEAR FORWARD AND FIVE BACKWARD :D

I just ignore it sometimes. However, 8 out of 10 times I think it helps with the Situation Awareness, given the fact that your WM has super bionic Mk1 Eyeballs. :pilotfly: :smartass:

In FC1, you could exactly manage the appearance of the diamond. If you marked something as a target, it would automatically get the diamond, if not, there was no diamond. In FC2, the diamond appears whenever your wingman "sees" it with his Eagle eyes. Anyway the thing doesn't belong on the HUD, it is pure phantasy. In the A-10A, you could take it for a laser spot by a JTAC on the ground picked up by the pave penny sensor. But in the Russian planes, there should not be such a thing.
