enigma6584 Posted November 10, 2011 Posted November 10, 2011 I started making my first mission today with the new BS2. Been reading the GUI manual on the appropriate sections. All I got to say is Wow!!!:clap_2: It is simply stunning all the different things one can now do with this mission editor. The different triggers, AI waypoint scripts, I'm just floored.:surprise: Thank you so much ED. What a beautiful sim...you guys are the simulation gods...:worthy:
MadTommy Posted November 10, 2011 Posted November 10, 2011 I agree editor is great, can get lost for hours in it... just wish there was a satellite map.. would make it soooooooo much better. i5-3570K @ 4.5 Ghz, Asus P8Z77-V, 8 GB DDR3, 1.5GB GTX 480 (EVGA, superclocked), SSD, 2 x 1680x1050, x-fi extreme music. Yep, don't get me wrong...I love this upgrade but it is indeed time consuming to place ground units, then run program, get out of program, change placement...do all over again. Perhaps some day. I was actually thinking about this last night...being a helicopter simulation, you need to work on the ground units all the time. It matters where you place them within mission you are making. I think it will get easier once ED starts putting out air2air modules...easier to work with aircraft rather than ground units...if you get my meaning.
EvilBivol-1 Posted November 11, 2011 Posted November 11, 2011 Just a small hint, when placing ground units, you may find it easier to run another window of the sim in MP mode and simply re-launch the mission each time you need to check placement. Not only does the mission load quickly, but you also have the ME open still and can make adjustments by looking at the live mission in the MP window. Just don't save the mission in the ME until the live one is exited. This may cause errors. - EB [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] Nothing is easy. Everything takes much longer. The Parable of Jane's A-10 Forum Rules
kylania Posted November 11, 2011 Posted November 11, 2011 (edited) I'm consistently CTD'ing trying that SP + MP method of editing for some reason. Here's the logs and mission file for giggles.
