cweng Posted September 2, 2005 Posted September 2, 2005 How fast can a Su-25T fly ? It does not have afterbuners, does it ?
GGTharos Posted September 2, 2005 Posted September 2, 2005 No, it doesn't. How fast it can fly depends on how heavily you load it, and its airspeed limit - if you fly it too fast it will fall apart. The poor thing can't even really go near supersonic. [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] Reminder: SAM = Speed Bump :D I used to play flight sims like you, but then I took a slammer to the knee - Yoda
Sealpup Posted September 2, 2005 Posted September 2, 2005 No after burners, and clean it can get fairly close to mach 1...but defintely not over.

britgliderpilot Posted September 3, 2005 Posted September 3, 2005 I think it starts to tuck under if you get it to a certain Mach No, too . . . . . . I did manage to get it to that speed clean once, it was cool. If you take all the weapons and fuel out and start razzing around empty, then it really is fun to fly - you just have to make sure you don't slow down too much :p http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v121/britgliderpilot/BS2Britgliderpilot-1.jpg

GGTharos Posted September 3, 2005 Posted September 3, 2005 No, I'm definitely not talking about the A-10 ;) [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] Reminder: SAM = Speed Bump :D I used to play flight sims like you, but then I took a slammer to the knee - Yoda

Hellcat61 Posted September 4, 2005 Posted September 4, 2005 Ive never been able to get one to break the sound barrier. All of my attemps were in dives of corse, and usually ended in very gratifying structual failures resulting in wing and tail loss. Its amazing how much fun you can have in FC without firing a shot. Belly landing is another favorite pastime of mine. Especially when a wing hits before the fuselodge. Aahh... debries.... "When you're out of Tomcats, you're out of fighters!"
