Ramstein Posted November 23, 2011 Posted November 23, 2011 Throttle moves up and down by itself! I sat on the taxiway (with engines running at idle) working on configuring some buttons, for comms...etc... and all of sudden the throttle is moving up and down by itself,, ramping the engine up and down. I put on the brakes.. but they won't hold... I checked al my Saitek stick buttons, everything is normal, thrttle is at idle. Yet the damned throttle is moving up and down and the plane keeps picking up speed.. no way to stop it... the parking brake will not lock... and the regular brake won't hold it back... wt???? I really think there is something troubling between Saitek X52 pro and Winx64 and A-10C not playing together nice.... too many wierd problems.. IMHO.. ASUS Strix Z790-H, i9-13900, WartHog HOTAS and MFG Crosswind G.Skill 64 GB Ram, 2TB SSD EVGA Nvidia RTX 2080-TI (trying to hang on for a bit longer) 55" Sony OLED TV, Oculus VR
andysim Posted November 23, 2011 Posted November 23, 2011 The A-10c has no parking brake so thats 1 problem solved, Im not sure about your throttle though.

NoJoe Posted November 23, 2011 Posted November 23, 2011 I have a similar thing happen to me occasionally with my X52 Pro. Turns out it does that when the cable between the throttle and the stick comes loose. Try unplugging and re-plugging both ends and see if that helps. --NoJoe
Ramstein Posted November 24, 2011 Author Posted November 24, 2011 it has not happened again,, but another weird thing is,, if I idle too long, while sitting onthe taxi-way.. like when I am busy entering data, or whatever, one engine will shut down... like there is a time limit on how long you can sit at idle... another wt???? ASUS Strix Z790-H, i9-13900, WartHog HOTAS and MFG Crosswind G.Skill 64 GB Ram, 2TB SSD EVGA Nvidia RTX 2080-TI (trying to hang on for a bit longer) 55" Sony OLED TV, Oculus VR

I have entered a whole flight plan through the CDU and that never happened. To whom it may concern, I am an idiot, unfortunately for the world, I have a internet connection and a fondness for beer....apologies for that. Thank you for you patience. Many people don't want the truth, they want constant reassurance that whatever misconception/fallacies they believe in are true..

I have had this happen also. (unexplained engine flame-outs). Apparently it is a known problem and it appears ED may have a fix for it. http://simhq.com/forum/ubbthreads.php/topics/3432407/1.html http://forums.eagle.ru/showpost.php?p=1336613&postcount=11 Edited November 24, 2011 by lobo** Lobo's DCS A-10C Normal Checklist & Quick Reference Handbook current version 8D available here: http://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/files/172905/
Guest Fury_007 Posted November 24, 2011 Posted November 24, 2011 I don't have total flame out situation, but sometimes at idle I lose all electrical power momentarily. All screens blank and brief caution warning, then it powers back up like nothing ever happened. Weird issue. Only happened after new patch.

Sounds like it is fixed for version 1.1.1.1. --NoJoe
Timmay Posted November 25, 2011 Posted November 25, 2011 @ Fury: Does this happen after you landed, or random? If it happens after the landing while taxiing, it is normal behaviour. The CDU performs a warm start. It's been implemented with the last patch. [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] If it got tits or wings, it makes you trouble!!
