AngelAtTheTomb Posted November 25, 2011 Posted November 25, 2011 I understand that it's a WIP feature, but as for the upcoming player-controlled JTAC module...does this mean that ground vehicles will be controllable? For example, if the JTAC is a HMMWV unit, will we be able to drive the HMMWV around in addition to the JTAC targeting functions? Or will vehicle motion control be solely just setting waypoints in the ME and you're just "along for the ride"? How did this work in the beta? If JTAC vehicles are player-controlled, is DCS heading towards a full-on war simulator a la ARMA II?
Geskes Posted November 25, 2011 Posted November 25, 2011 In the beta you were just along for the ride, although you could also set waypoints and fire missions for the vehicles in real-time if you were in the commander position (IIRC that function for controlling units was commander or something) I7920/12GBDDR3/ASUS P6T DELUXE V2/MSI GTX 960 GAMING 4G /WIN 10 Ultimate/TM HOTAS WARTHOG
joey45 Posted November 26, 2011 Posted November 26, 2011 ^^ All I had to do to drive MIL Land Rovers was a drive round the block a few times and a cross country test. The only way to make sense out of change is to plunge into it, move with it, and join the dance.
