Bullfrog Posted December 3, 2011 Posted December 3, 2011 Helo, can anyone please tell me, how to open .trk files in Windows 7. Search function did not help me. Thank you very much. Greetings, Guenther.
Nate--IRL-- Posted December 3, 2011 Posted December 3, 2011 They can be opened within DCS in order to play the contents. They can also be opened by Winrar or similar, to see the files contained in the TRK. Nate Ka-50 AutoPilot/stabilisation system description and operation by IvanK- Essential Reading
bluepilot76 Posted December 3, 2011 Posted December 3, 2011 You have to open them in DCS. Go to "Replay" in the game menu. Unless you mean something else? Technical Specs: Asus G73JW gaming laptop... i7-740QM 1.73GHz ... GTX460m 1.5GB ... 8GB DDR5 RAM ... Win7 64 ... TIR5 ... Thrustmaster T16000m
PeterP Posted December 3, 2011 Posted December 3, 2011 (edited) rename *.trk to *.zip and everything else should be self-explanatory. But if I misinterpreted your question and you don't want to edit the files with a editor - only watching it... Go to replays in DCS and open it with the file browser inside of DCS. edit: :doh:Damn! was I slow... Norrised by two postings... ;) BTW : welcome aboard Bullfrog! Edited December 3, 2011 by PeterP
Bullfrog Posted December 3, 2011 Author Posted December 3, 2011 Yes i want only to watch the files, thanks a lot for your answers. Guenther
PeterP Posted December 3, 2011 Posted December 3, 2011 additional note: - make sure the *.trk file you want to watch is recorded in the same DCS version you are using to be played back correctly (most of the time...). -The problem is often that people that post tracks are sometimes not saying which version was used. - so the date is a good indicator.
Bullfrog Posted December 3, 2011 Author Posted December 3, 2011 Thanks for your explanation about the DCS version, greetings Guenther. 1
