Manuito Posted December 5, 2011 Posted December 5, 2011 Hi, I bought DCS: A-10C Warthog 1.1.1.0 (English download version) with Paypal yesterday. The transaction was done correctly and the game appears as "Paid" in the payments section of the website, but there is no activation code shown anywhere. I also tried the Downloads/Software page, but there is no code there either. I am logged in correctly (tried a dozen of times with four different browsers). Any ideas, please? Thanks!
Bongophone Posted December 5, 2011 Posted December 5, 2011 (edited) Hey - I bought DCS: A-10C (same version as you) yesterday too; paying with VISA (I suspect payment method is irrelevant). I, too, have not received any activation key; not by email, nor on the "Downloads" or "Payments" sections of the website. I suspect the website is out of CD-keys (not as stupid as it sounds), and ED needs to generate more/update the website to solve this. edit: Made a support ticket on the website yesterday, but haven't received any replies yet. Rodney Posted December 5, 2011 Posted December 5, 2011 After I paid for DCS: BS2 with my credit card a screen popped up that gave me the serial#. Did a screen pop up for you after you sent the money via PayPal? :)

I didn't get any pop up, no, and the only number given to me through Paypal was the transaction ID (which I can see as well in the "Payments" section in the DCS website). I also sent a support ticket yesterday but still haven't received any reply. I'm very disappointed, to be honest... I decided to buy the game to support the developers, but if that thing about the website running out of activation numbers is true, then it seems once more that sometimes you are better off by getting the game through other means. I don't want to talk too soon, but nowadays most developers send keys through email and save everyone this hassle.

Same here, no reply. The notion of buying it on Steam and demanding a refund here is starting to sound tempting; I'd do it already, if I was sure to get a refund here. But seriously, paying 40€ just to enjoy the in-game Options/wiki was not my plan.

I had once a support-ticket and I needed some time to realise that this system only get states the answer when I watch my ticket inside the DCS site - without a Email notification... Did you receive an email from them? As someone else said it takes sometime to get a reply from support. If you don't hear back from anyone in the next 24 hours i'd PM one of the Mods and see what they can do for you. They're pretty good helping out in these types of situations. :)
Rodney Posted December 6, 2011 Posted December 6, 2011 In the box where it shows the product name is where I saw my serial number. It doesn't show it on yours. Not as it makes much difference but I used IE9 as my browser. Give it 24 hours and if you haven't gotten an answer contact a mod.

We've been waiting 36+ hours here, and even if other people and moderators are being really helpful we haven't heard a word from the support department (I'm sure no one has read our support tickets yet). This could take another few minutes or perhaps another week, who knows, but it's very shameful in any case (specially considering how many people go down the free-torrent route). I'm going to open a ticket with Paypal if I hear nothing by tonight (considering that they are based in Russia, it's probably too late to expect anything from them today anyway). I could wait if at least they told me it's gonna take X days, but I didn't pay for silence.
