WildBillKelsoe Posted December 9, 2011 Posted December 9, 2011 Hello, I want to create a movie, with a fired maverick seeker video (with effects of course), but I cant do that since I cant manipulate the weapon to target view without showing the missile exterior.. Any ideas? I also want to increase camera zoom from minimum to exterior view to reach more upclose (eventually colliding with model), as well as remove camera constraints to become flush with the ground while parked (to zoom in and be able to view underbelly of the aircraft from upclose). Any thoughts? AWAITING ED NEW DAMAGE MODEL IMPLEMENTATION FOR WW2 BIRDS Fat T is above, thin T is below. Long T is faster, Short T is slower. Smokin Hole Posted December 9, 2011 Posted December 9, 2011 (edited) Noc, I can offer nothing regarding your question. But I do have a suggestion for your sig, which currently smacks a tiny bit like self-engrandizement. It would read a little better with: (Strike "OK Folks...")Inquiries and questions at my YouTube channel are welcome but please PM me if you wish to have a reply." JaNk0 Posted December 9, 2011 Posted December 9, 2011 You could always ask in the Screenshot and Video section [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
Supersheep Posted December 9, 2011 Posted December 9, 2011 Hi Noc, not that I have any idea about the technical side of this (or a mod that would bring up the video feed), but could you boresight the TGP and fly the hog so that it mimics the video from the MAV? Maybe you can find a creative way to get rid of the TGP "crosshair" (declutter first), for example overlay it with a shifted (e. g. to the upper right) copy of the video and then treat the whole thing with a gaussian blur. You can crank up the MFD resolution in the options of DCS so the video from the TGP is not too devastated by the blurring. In IR mode, you adjust gain/level to simulate the "MAV-look" and edit the video so that it behaves like a MAV (speed it up according to newtons laws, insert the "targeting gates" (you get that I mean...), insert a small black-out when fired and static when it *should* impact the target etc.). Did I mention that I have no experience with this? If impossible, please say so and then disregard ;) Supersheep The PVC Pipe Joystick Stand How to thread
WildBillKelsoe Posted December 16, 2011 Author Posted December 16, 2011 thank you all for the suggestions. I will do something. Special thanks to super for his imagination. Mosley Posted December 16, 2011 Posted December 16, 2011 Could you just put the mav on target and just path hold or fly into the target? I think that would give the mav video your looking for.... maybe... i7 2600k @ 4.4 / GTX 470 1.3gb / 8GB DDR3 1600 / TM Warthog #7440 / Toshiba 37" 1080p / OCZ Vertex3 SSD 128GB / Win7-64 / TIR4
Supersheep Posted December 16, 2011 Posted December 16, 2011 Another one: I know there is someone here on the forums who edited the Level of detail settings for the cockpit objects so someone with a complete simpit (wtf? :D) can render only the things he would see through the windows. I guess you could fiddle with the mav model and set its LOD to zero so it is there, but not rendered. Or replace it with an "empty" model. Then you can F6 your invisible MAV and edit the resulting video. BTW, I like Mosley's idea more than mie above, after I read mine again... That depends on which MAV you want to show, I assumed those who fly in an arc and climb first. That is why I suggested the TGP, the Mav would breack lock. If I find that thread -it is really old- I will post a link here. The PVC Pipe Joystick Stand How to thread

Supersheep Posted January 27, 2012 Posted January 27, 2012 Now I am interested in your final work :) And btw, you could break away, cut the video and replace the last meters with a distorted image of a very close fly-by. Or just go for it, simply call it one of your production tools and not simulator. Problem solved xD Super- The PVC Pipe Joystick Stand How to thread
