Hi. i was experimenting with the mission generator in both warthog and black shark. Is there a way to make it generate missions with alliances different from the default ones? for example, i would like to create a situation in which usa and russia fight on the same side against other countries and, though this is easy when you create a new mission from scratch, i wasn't able to do it using the 'nodes' or the 'generate mission' option..

Generally it is not possible to alter the coalitions after creating the mission - ie after you have started a new mission in the ME. It can be done by hand by manually editing the mission file, but that is hideously complex.

I imagine it is not possible to alter with the MG - not sure what you mean by Nodes though?

the fast mission generator is a source of frustration for me... as far as i know there isnt a way without editing files after a mission is generated to change coalitions.... this ability is HUGE onmy wish list - I hate it when I spend a couple hours making a mission and realize the coalitions are fubared.

that said the nodes also never work right for me either.... choosing nodes then clicking generate seems to not work at all when trying to generate from templates after yo choose coalitions... I think a straight forward fast mission generator tutorial vid would be tgreatly appreciated by the community.

yes, it is absolutely impossible to edit the alliances after the mission is generated, but i wondered if it was some way to generate missions within the editor with alliances different from the default: what i've tried is to start a mission from scratch, and assign countries to different coalitions than default (for example: usa, russia and uk on blue side; georgia, israel and turkey on red side, others neutral). then else hit the generate mission option, or play around with the premade offensive/defensive nodes at the various localities. to my grief, the mission generates normally but the involved nations are invariably set back at default: russia, ukraine etc on red; usa uk etc on blue. i don't think this is right, imho some interesting scenarios could be easily created was it possible.
